Actually...not so much questions about the Weapon skill itself...more so about the weapon skill quest. Yes yes...1 point soro, 2 for level 1, 3 for level 2, 5 for level 3...but how much do you get for opening the chain? 1? Does it depend on the chain? Let's say I'm close a level 2 chain which opens a level 3 chain...if I get points for opening chains, do I get double points then? How tough is the Notorious Monster for this quest?

Just some questions if anyone could field them. Thanks

The first part of your question should be pretty obvious, I don't understand how you could miss it.

Howling Fist > Asuran Fists (Liquifaction)> Raging Fists (Fusion)> Dragon Kick (Light)

The Howling Fist started the chain, but did not create a SC, so it gets 1 points for use.
Asuran Fists created a lvl 1, so it gets 2 points.
It's about what the skill creates in the chain, not so much its placement.

I was lagging pretty bad when I did my WSNM, but if you bring enough MNKs and enough support, he shouldn't be too hard.

The skillchain we're using (two trial weapons) is:

Red Lotus Blade (non-trial) -> One Inch Punch (trial) -> Cross Reaper (Trial)

Now you get 5 points for a level 3 SC, so the Scythe is getting that.

However... One Inch Punch is closing a level 2 SC (3 points) and opening a level 3 SC (3 points according to some sites). Do I get 6 points for both or just 3?

Does opening a skillchain also get you points is it just closing? Some places say yes...other places say no

You get 1 point for executing a weapon skill.

They dont add up as I understand it.
If you do a ws: 1 point.
If you close a sc: 2 points
If you close lvl 2 sc: 3 points
If you close lvl 3 sc: 5 points.
If you do a ws solo you get 1 point, if it closed a lvl 1 sc you get an extra point for a total of 2 points. If it closed a lvl 2 sc you get 2 extra points for a total of 3 and 4 extra for closing a lvl 3. The points dont add up everytime you use it, its a set point system. If you open a lvl 3 sc you should still only get 1 point for doing your ws, not 5 for being part of the lvl 3 sc. Only the closer gets that.

All of these will assume you are a Hand-to-Hand user for continuity of examples.

- If you simply do a WS you get one point. (Simple doing Dragon Kick.)
- If you cause a level 1 renkei you get 2 points. (Fast Blade>Spinning Attack [Liquification].)
- If you cause a level 2 renkei you get 3 points. (Red Lotus>Raging Fists [Fusion].)
- If you cause a level 3 renkei you get 5 points. (Arching Arrow>Dragon Kick [Light].)

You do not get one point for doing a weapon skill then an extra five points on top of that for creating Light, you will simply get five points for creating light. I don't know how to possibly simplify it further.

Don't take useless people. It's sounds weird to say, I know. But it has a life tap just like most other higher level skeletons. And if 20 of your friends tag along, of course they are gonna want to hit it and well you can guess the rest. Never dies tapping 20 people.
