  • 60...a landmark, but what eq?

Whats the ideal, full equipment set for a lv60 monk? I want to be completely caught up on everything at this landmark level. Should I just wear full af? Keep brown belt? Any help would be great
(I also need help deciding on a replacement for sniper rings)

Beleive it or not, your AF set reigns supreme in most equipment slots at 60 (technically, a MNK can wear their AF all the way up to 75 with no real troubles - its a solid set with good boosts and stats).

Here is a sample loadout for a 60 MNK with some choices in it. Note that some of the alternate choices are pretty expensive, but none of them are "required" so just get what you can afford.

    H2H: Spartan Cesti / Bone Patas +1
Head: Temple Crown / Mercenary Captains Headgear / Voyager Sallet
    Neck: Spike Necklace
    Hands: Temple Gloves
Body: Temple Cyclas / Scorpion Harness
Legs: Temple Hose / Masters Sitabaki
Feet: Temple Gaiters / Kung Fu Shoes / Fuma Kayhan
Rings: Sun Rings / Sniper Rings
    Earrings: Spike Earrings
Waist: Life Belt / Brown Belt
    Back: Amemit Mantle

Note that the Amemit Mantle is actually level 61, but its the first decent back equip for a MNK there is. Before 61 you will probably be using Wolf's Mantle +1 for some elemental resists or an Earth Mantle for extra VIT for your Chakra.

The Sun Rings and Snipers are interchangable, as are the Life Belt and Brown Belt. You will have to see how well you can hit each enemy you fight and decide on the right combination of Accuracy or STR. You don't HAVE to buy Snipers for MNK mind you, many get along fine without them - it just means you will be wearing the Life Belt a bit more, thats all.

MY current setup for MNK, im 62 atm.

        Spartens.

All AF. tried a scorp harness, but for some odd reason, i seemed to hit less on the same mobs i had fought 6 or 7 other times before with the AF body.

Spike Necklace, currently trying to get my hands on some spectacles.

2 +5att spike earrings. currently looking into accurate earrings, +2 acc per earring.

2 Victory rings, +4 version HQ more or less of suns.

        amemet mantle.
didnt really see the need for HQ version, a 1mil just for just 5 more att and 1 str pfft, please..

        Brown Belt.

this setup with sole sushi or, the HQ version of sole is quite good, dont have a hard time hitting, i can keep up with rngs or sams pretty well and the dmg output is wonderful.
i managed to do a 892dmg blast on a orc dragoon lastnight with howling fist.
