kote vs hume rse vs AF (higher lvl)

well, i'm not that high with mnk yet, but i was wondering for when i get there and hoping maybe some other people were wondering too, since this might actually be helpful to them now.

at higher lvl's say, 60+, which glove would you recommend?

i hear kote really arent that good late game because attack is very high and +20 isnt what it used to be. if this is really the case, i personally was thinking later in the game hume rse would probably be best for use during a battle. only losing 1 str compared to AF and gaining 3 dex for more criticals and a little more acc. then switching the rse for AF before a weapon skill due to the 1 more str and boost bonus. so maybe using a macro like...

I'd say stick with the AF Gloves. A commonly thrown around set of words in this neck of the woods is "STR is everything."

For some strange reason, hand to hand weapons get a bigger boost from STR than from attack. I myself didn't really believe in this concept till I swapped my dex rings for strength rings around the same level I swapped Kote for AF gloves. I immedately noticed I was doing double the damage I was doing before. Anyway...I usually tell people the following: Try things out and see what works best for you. One thing I'm increasingly disliking bout this game is everyone's strive for perfection. Perfect parties are great and all...but it's a game...you play to have fun.

Once you reach the mid 50's, the Kote become less desireable. At this point you will begin to focus on STR more than Attack (although, Attack is still very welcome - STR is just higher on the priority list).

As a Hume, you do have the choice to use RSE instead of Temple Gloves. I don't really see a clear victor between the two, but having to switch to the Temple Gloves every time you Boosted would be a major pain.

Try it out and see if you like the +DEX at the loss of +1 STR and the convienence of having to switch equips when Boosting.

I agree with both 100%, understand this if anything else dont sink in. The higher in lvl u go the less u get returned towards ur natural base from ur gear (ex. kote at lvl to wear is not the same at lv60, ur not getting +20 attack anymore cause the mobs r much higher up).
Those stuck in perfect pties r really the 1's that dont know how to play n stuck in the box mind frame, the ability to adapt in a pt educate: u will be amazed by how resorcesful we r when forced to try new things.

According to my parses, the kote outdamaged AF until 56 or 57. I'm not saying this will be true for everyone, but it was true for me (and I kept a pretty close eye on it).

AF makes most sense until 60, when I'm expecting the lvl 60 gigas bracer to outperform it. I'm saying "expect" becuase I can't find the fscking thing on rag's AH. If anyone wants to sell it for a reasonable price lemme know~

Obviously you want to macro in AF for your boosts. Don't listen to anyone who tells you, "its too much work and not worth it" to equip macro for boost. They're either too lazy, retarded, or don't understand how the hell macros work. Opening fights with chi blast makes your DoT look mighty fine, and it can be a great way to hold hate for fuidama.
