How long did it take you to get 60+?

Somewhere around 30-35 days /played. About six months, I think. Total play time on my character was about 45 days when I quit, and although sig doesn't reflect it, I also got rdm up to 35.

A bard could probably make it to 60 in something like 15 days /played or so.

depends a lot on how much you lvl as opposed to other things. also if you stick with one job or keep switching. my highest job is 62 pld, current playtime is 151 days. at least 30 days are probably from bazaaring since i mined almost all of may and june and had my character bazaaring in town for most of the day while i was at work. but thats still 121 days with my highest job 62pld. but i've played almost every job in the game for a little, farmed myself about 5 mil and have done/helped with just about every quest there is.

I'm finally qualified to answer this question, as I'm now 60 as of the time of this post. I started in mid-June of 2004 and it's now February, so that's 9 months. That includes farming, leveling subs, taking breaks, etc.

It took me a year. Including two 2month breaks i've taken in between. I'm so sick of LFG and stuff so I think I'll take another break. Say does it take another year to get to 75? Orz

went from 28-50 in a week. then it went slow so about 3-5 months

Leveling whm to 30 then rdm to 30, then war to 25, then sam to 49, then bard 38, now blm 66, playing mostly 3 hours per day and alot more on weekends, i reached this point after playing for 9 months, i'd say exping blm was pretty easy, about 5 months should be enough, unless youre extremely unlucky with making money ._.

Millions of years. What? I gave a dumb answer to a dumb question. It doesn't even matter how much time you spent getting to 60, as long you enjoyed yourself. And if it is just out of curiousity, well... you should look into more interesting things.

Been playing since FFXI came out, and I'm only 67. I have another job at 52, though. *sigh*

1 week to get warrior to 35. 3 weeks to get monk from lvl 5 - 75. I bought all my gear using my main character first so I did not have to worry about farming the items.
