  • Vishnu's Cesti = Fastest H2H Weapon?

I dont know anything about monks, so help me out XD.

When you have a weapon that says +80 delay that means u have a decrease in your ATK spd right?

In that case, Vishnu's cesti has a +0 delay, so would that make them the fastest Hand-to-hand weapon in the game?

    Thanks in advance.

    Quoted from Effen's FAQ:

Another question that's always asked is, "How good are Tropical Punch? " The 0 delay might sound nice, but remember, 0 delay doesn't mean there is no delay on your attack. It simply means there's 0 delay on your weapon, but you still have the delay that comes from H2H.

And the delay is adding the delay from your weapon to your H2h delay:
    HTH Delay = 480
    HTH Delay with MA I (Monk Lv1) = 400
HTH Delay with MA II (Monk Lv16) = 380
HTH Delay with MA III (Monk Lv31) = 360
HTH Delay with MA IV (Monk Lv46) = 340
    HTH Delay with MA V (Monk Lv61) = 320
HTH Delay with MA VI (Monk Lv75) = 300

      Bigbird's question was 'Vishnu's Cesti = Fastest H2H Weapon?'

And the answer is yes, because there is no - Delay H2H weapon, 0 Delay is the lowest, aka fastest H2H weapon.

If he had word it as "Vishnu's Cesti = Nonstopable H2H weapon?' then the answer is No, because we have a base delay.

O, OK i totally forgot we have a natural Hand to hand delay no matter what and monks get bonuses as they get higher in level.

Damn, for a second i thought using Vishnu's would mean a Monk could spam Weaponskills.

So 300 delay means for a level 75 monk that you hit 2ce in that time, so each fist has a delay of 150 then?

I think i read somewhere that 100 delay = 1 second, so with Vishnu's would a monk be hiting 2 times every 3 seconds, and even more often if you had haste and some haste gear on right?

          Think about a MNK/WAR.
They woulld have a possibility of hitting more every round with double attack and kick(Lv. 51 monk ability). I'm not sure about this but I think each fist has a chance to double attack.

            I think it's been determined that 60delay = 1 second.

            that means 300 delay = 5 sec.

However, add in haste from Black Belt (12%), fumas (3%), Panzer Mask +1 (3%), Byakko's Haidate (3%), and whm haste spell (I hear it's somewhere around 30%) - and you can cut that in half.

            150 delay = 2.5 sec per 1 round of attack (2 fists)

            :spin:

just for fun, let's check out tp rate. 5% from each fist, so 10% each round. That would take 10 rounds, or 25 sec to get to 100% tp. Add in double attack and kick... 2-3 ws per minute o_O?

Hand delay isn't split, every 300 delay. You attack with 2 hands.

              P.S. Byakko pants are +5%

Thx. I guess i misunderstood Hand to hand with dual wielding since i'm Ninja and each hand get its own delay.
