Hitting early on...

Is it me or i seem to not hit..maybe 1/3 of my hits are misses..im 27 with the following EQ:

Weapon:Lynx Bagnahks
Body:Beetle Harness
Head:Windurst Hachimaki
Hands:Battle Gloves
Legs:Beetle Subligar
Feet:Great Gaiters
Waisturple Belt
Mantle:Dhalmel Mantle
Earrings:Beetle+1 x 2
Neck:Spike Necklace
Rings:Strength+1 rings

Would using DEX rings increase my hitting...i find i dont hit enough
but when i do i outdamage Galka (Gimped ones but i do lol)
Im hume..so i need to get the gloves as well. Or would keeping the battle gloves help...just a couple of questions that i hope the higher lvls can help me out with. Also..my combo doesnt do more then 70 which makes me sad ; ;

To be honest, monk is rather weak until 34 (presuming you get ochiudo's kote then). After that, they rock the house. Also, you get impact knuckles at 32, that helps with the accuracy (well, pretty much just offsets the loss of battle gloves).

All melees have a high miss rate until they can start getting decent accuracy gear, which really doesn't happen until the 40s. Just make sure to use focus, and you'll be fine.

Don't worry about it too much. Keep pumping that STR stat, battle or RSE gloves are both good - everyone misses alot at these levels. Around level 40 you should start getting ACC equipment (Jujitsu Gi, Sniper rings, Lifebelt a little later). Adding DEX compromises your STR stat too much for such a small accuracy bonus...
