How did/do you make your gil?

Hello brother and sister Monks. I'm currently level 30 and I've been taking time off from the leveling grind to raise my fishing skill so I can fish for moat carp a little easier (currently level 14 in fishing), and I've been wondering. How do fellow Monks make their gil? I'd like to save up for Ochiudo's Kote, but that's A LOT of moat carp... and I hear it's not that necessary just yet, although highly recommended if possible.

I know there are many different ways and crafts, but I'm curious. Some ways seem to be easier depending on what job you are and whatnot. What did you do for gil at my level and what do you do currently?

P.S. How do you get the "Paragon of Monk Excellence" title? I know it's a long way off for me though lol.

i can say fishing is nice, i leveled mine to 40 recently and made 240k lvling it from 21-40, selling carps, rusty caps, red terrapins to NPC's. once you hit 31 fishing you can hit up guastaberg selling stacks of cobalt jellyfish for 2.4k gil a stack, i caught A LOT of those, also the ogre eels sell for 4k a stack..

from what i understand fishing 50+ is VERY profitable so thats kind of my goal now seeing as by 40 i got dual snipers and Brown Belt to get..... so yea suggest you keep at fishing... to me its an enjoyable way to make gil, hopefully it can be the same for you..


as for farming, when i do it( mostly fish ) i go to dunes and farm Lizzie Skins for 9k-10k a stack on Ramuh, and black tiger fangs in Jugner for the sandy quest for 2100 per 3 fangs.... so i hope that helps ya out a 'bit >_^ good luck!

The title "Paragon of Monk Excellence" comes from completing the Monk AF3 quest (NM Yagudo in Castle Oztroja, then turning in the item to Ayame in Port Bastok).
