I've always wondered about this, so I figure I'll ask you all.
k, well i was wondering if the lower delay weapons(such as cesti's) would be better for Dot... now i'm talking post 50 when you get double attack. The reason i ask this is cause if you attack faster, then you would have more chances to get a double attack in, thus making your Dot greater...
Anyways was just always curious about that ^^ i'm sure i'm wrong :spin:

True, but Combo up to Howling Fist, Monks are SC closers. +atk on the weapon means you close fusion (and later light/dark) harder. Which means the SC itself does more damage, effectively negating all over speed you gain over long delay weapons.

Or...so is my opinion.

Its a tough issue. I recently bought the new Meteor Cesti (DMG +8 Delay +36) and used them for about a day.

I tried farming, EXP PT's, and coffer key type mobs with them. I'm certain that my total damage in any given fight on regular hits was more with the Meteors because of the much improved delay.........until I would use a WS.

Sadly, weapon damage plays a very large role in WS damage. For instance, on farming level mobs my Asurans are normally 1100-1300 damage (I use Diamond Knuckles for farming, DMG+17 Delay +86). With the Meteor Cesti, it was 800-1000. So, using a WS with a more powerful weapon looks like it negates the more hits you did with a lower delay weapon.
