Alternate job to tanking - The Monk!

So anyways I've decided to try out the damage dealer way and am loving it so far(21 mnk). But I feel like I'm not doing as much dmg as I should be.

My stats:
Attk: 96
Str: 26+6
Dex: 26+7

I'm using Strike bagnahks(sp?), spike necklace, 2 beetle earrings +1, 2 amethyst rings, and a purple belt.

My attacks are roughly 8-15 normal and 20-30 crits. (without kabobs) Is this normal or am I missing a key element?

STR rings > DEX rings... You do have Battle gloves too right (+3 ACC)? Knuckle-type weapons are best too - they usually have the highest damage, as well most have accuracy bonuses. You want to pimp out STR (Monk will almost always have better accuracy than other jobs anyway - we have access to low level ACC gear, and Focus at 25 is very nice).

No battle gloves. I'll buy them the next time I log in. I use claws because they look better than knuckles Guess it's a girl thing. XD What rings can I use at my lvl for str?

you're getting these numbers fighting IT mobs in exp parties?
like crabs in qufim and the like?

i think your damage is pretty average? its been a long time since i was at that level, i have trouble remembering my damage.

i agree though, as a hume, you dont suffer as much of an accuracy issue as i do, so STR rings would probably benefit you more now.

keep using mithkabobs and look at other +attack gear.
at level 25 you can invest in the windurstian or (better yet) the federation kyahan (boots) which offer a +attack, which im used up till level 40 myself.

maybe you can get yourself the Ochiudo's Kote at 32 or sometime thereafter.

Sardonyx and Courage (HQ) are the level 14 STR rings...

There's also the Republic Subligar, has +7 attack on it, that's at 25.
