  • why RSE for mnks?

sorry this is my 2nd topic started today heh, just been away for a while...lemme ask you guys something?

why on earth would mnks wear RSE...someone even suggested it on my other topic...why? it adds mostly MP...what does a mnk need that for?...i see them walking around sometimes too..mnks my lvl with 45mp. I wear the jujitsu sitabaki, why would elvaan rse that just adds mp and mnd be better?

sounds crazy to me, but i would like to clear this up once and for all...
    mnk 42 , war 30, rng 12, thf 10, whm 7, Sandy Rank 3

+++Bottom line? you do not outdamage my mnk with your drk...sorry ++++

tho lower defence, the rse legs add a good amount of dex, and basically by default become the best option for an elvaan, the rse hands are ok too for a lil while i beleive, but i honestly wore RSE legs till 53 when i switched to masters

RSE does more than add mp. It depends on the slot, but, for mithra, RSE body is good until jujitsu gi, the feet are as good as you're going to get until kung fu shoes/dune boots, and the gloves would be useful if you're tanking (for some bizarro reason...)

The stats, and therefore effectiveness, of RSE depends on your race. Elvaan or galka RSE probably don't add much for a monk (maybe some DEX for the elvaan), but mithra RSE feet have +3 str for example, you can't tell me that isn't great for a monk. Also, different pieces have different effectiveness.

Look at the stats and decide what you want. Following other people's gear choices without understanding them can get you in trouble or, at least, waste you a lot of gil.
