Ok i'm kinda confused as to which way i should go...

currently using Spike necklace, and 2x snipper rings...

thinking about changing to 2x sun rings, and Spectacles, just wondering wether i really should...

my 3rd option would be to keep 1 sniper, use 1 sun, and then get spectacles, but that's pretty damn expensive

The most expensive choice is the best choice but 2 sun rings+spectacles works fine.
    Just do it.

Just way the stats out Futrid, and arrive at a conclusion:

Base Choice: 2x Sniper Rings, Spike Necklace.
Offensive Stats: +3 DEX, +3 STR, +10 ACC

1st Alternative: 2x Sun Rings, Spectacles.
Offensive Gain/Loss compared to Base: +3 STR, -3 ACC (-4.5 ACC if you accept the DEX/ACC ratio to be true), -3 DEX

      (i.e. +6 STR, +7 ACC)

2nd Alternative: 1 Sniper Ring, 1 Sun Ring, Spectacles
Offensive Gain/Loss compared to Base: +0 STR, +12 ACC (+10.5 if you accept the DEX/ACC ratio to be true), -3 DEX

      (i.e. +3 STR, +7 ACC, +5 ACC)

        Currently I have Spectacles and 2x Sun Rings. I'm quite fond of this setup. I recommend it. (Also have Life Belt, Spartans and of course Cyclas) some pretty nice +ACC going on...gonna be getting some Bracelets soon to raise my STR. Once they come back in stock. x_x;

I'm thinking about just switching my sun rings out for snipers and leaving it at that. I have a brown belt, but...to be honest, I miss way more than I want to as-is (with +18 accuracy, using Life Belt).

+28 accuracy should do me well, I think. I dunno, the beadeaux coffer hunt was a real wakeup call as to how bad high level thf mobs can be (platinum quadavs). At 61, I plan to be sitting right where I am now, with +21 str from gear and food, and only -2 dex, with:

Spike Necklace +3 str +3 dex
          Savage Gaiters +3 str
          Pallas's Bracelets +9 str -5 dex
          Amemet Mantle +1 str
          Meat Mithkabob +5 str

Obviously, as Mithra, a dex hit of -2 doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot. Spectacles...meh. If the whole dex/accuracy thing works out the way people think it does, my 14 dex advantage over elvaan translates directly into the seven accuracy they gain from using a pair of spectacles over me, while also allowing me to retain three more dex, and make up three points of that 10 point elvaan strength advantage (three more points of which are made up by my RSE boots).

When all's said and done, you can either choose to go with your race's strength (in the case of elvaan, high str) by exaggerating it with as much +str as you can, or you can try to take care of your weaknesses (in the case of elvaan, low dex) by pumping up accuracy a bit more. I think both can be valid approaches depending on what you're fighting.

I use one sniper, one sun, and spectacles. My accuracy is great...but I was thinking I could probably switch me sniper out for a second sun. Anyone want to buy all these items and test it? lol
You were able to buy the spectacles for 1,200,000.

i think snipers are over rated. just do spick kneckless , 2 sun rings and a life belt and you get some accuracy from other stuff (AF body +5, spartan cestis +2, counter cross +3 AF boots give 1.5).the only time i plan on wearing snipers is when or if i get my black belt

I don't like missing. Snipers will make me miss less.

I have +18 accuracy right now, from Life Belt, Temple Cyclas, and Cross-counters. It's simply not enough for me. I want to make the plds work for their aggro! I can either hit for a bit more damage, or I can hit far more often. Especially at my level, where Raging Fists is still the most-used weaponskill, hitting more often sounds better.

Well, Accuracy+ is nice, but you only need so much. I have the option to have Accuracy +45, but not all of that is needed when I XP. I enjoy having the option to switch between Sniper's and +STR rings, but yes, it is expensive  I would definitely suggest getting the Spectacles though, those are a great equip for us MNK.

woah.. +45 acc, i would guess you have the cursed gears

so anywayz, if ya have the cursed gears, go for str boost if not

                        1 lifebelt + 1 sniper + 1 sun ring + 1 spike necklace should do fine

acc are mostly for xping, while i'm in balista i'll switch in all the str gears.

If you are Sandorian, you can also use the level 65 CP Collar.

                          Grand T.K. Collar
                          In areas you don't control: DEF 7, Accuracy+5, Attack+5

Of course, they only work in areas Sandoria dosen't control, but carry this and a Spike Necklace around until you can afford Spectacles or Snipers.

Its not like you have been spending your CP on anything else as a MNK.......

work toward optical hat if u want some free acc , our head gear is rather lackluster so you don't lose str etc using it. I got it a week or 2 ago and am rather happy with it. And the NM is not as hard as people make it out to be, most Hnm posts you read are way overrated.

Edit: And don't forget at 72 you get ruby rings as an option. +4 str each or if u can muster the gil ( 600k+ for +5str on kujata ) Triumph/Flame rings.
