LV 14 Monk, Where to Fight? And is My gear what I need

Im lv 14 Monk from Bastok. Ive been killing sheep for the last 2 lvs. Should I continue to do that or should I move on to another zone?
Also. My equipment. I have Power GI +1 Str, Lego. Nuckles, Battle Gloves, Boots with +3 Evasion (forget name) The bastok Ring, a +1 str Ring (forget the name) 8 Def Pants (forget the name), Circlet with 5 Evasion 4 Def and some resist earrings 2fire/water -2 lightning. And a Rabbit mantle:sweat: oh and the ever trusty white belt Should I be looking for better gear before around 18 or so. Or am I well equiped for a while. I only have about 13,000 gil to speand though. :confused:

At 14 you should head to Valkurm Dunes (Two zones 'up' from North Gustaberg) and try to find a party. The mobs you fight here also drop the items needed for the subjob quest, which you can complete at lvl 18.

Gear

Awesome, Ill do that now. But on my gear, anyone have any feedback? Im really not sure I have read so many different things, one says i should lower my evasion to build my block and others say it will eventually catch up. I listed my gear on my first post, if somone that is a skilled monk wouldnt mind giving me some feed back that would be awesome.

you have standard gears, shouldnt be a problem. Try Valkrum dunes OR korokula tunnels (after bastok mines -> zeruhn mines, kill worms)
