  • Lvling?

    Back to mnk again, aobut to get to 33 tonight, just wondering what is the earliest lvl you can go to Eldimine to fight bones? I know for mnk damg is worst on beattle, so I want to try and aviod it.

    Also does the same stat deacrease for beattle we get apply to crawler?

    Monk is fine against beetle. Don't worry.
    Just do it.

      yeah, blunt weapons have a penalty vs beetles as well.
      only skeletons i've killed in eldieme are the ones you get to from beaucedine -> battalia -> eldieme. at lv44-46 somewhere these were great exp.. mummy/lich
      i guess you mean the lost souls, tried going there somewhere at your level with my set pt, but we couldn't find any good camp. so we headed to garlaige and killed siege bats, skeletons and beetles instead.

        monk does have penalty against beetles, but if you're decently equipped you'll get invites and still outdamage other melees anyway.

          I agree. At 35 with Monk, I had absolutely no problem with beetles (well, no more than any other melee). My normal hits were better than other jobs, my weapon skills did more damage, and my accuracy was as good or better. Just a general note on beetles - always nice to have a RDM or Bard to dispel their buffs...

              If you can make it to Beaucedine, then it might be worth going to Xarcabard, the lost souls there should be around the 35-40ish mark. Either that or there are skeles in Behemoth's dominion that some of the JP fight at around 35.

              Then head to eldieme, i believe from 33+ can stay there for a while if you were so inclined, there are also coffer key skeletons that a party of around 55 can exp off of. At 57-58 head to Gustav for the same type skeletons, only slightly higher level, but soooo fast exp up until 60-61

              From 60 I dont know of any other skeletons until 66 when you return to Gustav, but at 60 you get howling fist, so you can participate in Distortion chain, which may improve your chances of getting parties for crawlers etc, tho a trip to terrigan, onzonzo is probably inevitable ; ;
              Current job levels: mnk75, brd75, thf38, war45, whm 37, 19sam, 58nin, 16pld, 18blm, 21bst, 9rng, 3rdm,smn,drk ^^

                The only spots I can think of camping in Eledime is where the human bones are (Lich and Fallen Knights 51~54 lvl range mobs) and Mummy + Lich in the glacier side around the same level or less. Lost soul can be used as a exp source but their numbers are so low... most use them as a skill up dummy.
