Taru Gear question. (hands)

Ok Im lvl 57 now.
I have Kotes but I'm not sure I realy even need them.
This crossed my mind the other day when I played with a SMN that had Fenrir.
In that party I was lvl 55, if I remeber correct I had.
49STR +13(with food and gear) +40ATK
Fenrir gave me+7STR and it felt like a big differance.
I was abit drunk at the time and it was about 3am so stripping of ATK gear to test the differance never crossed my mind.
Well I'm lvl 57 now and lost +10ATK from my weapon and 1STR from my mask. So I'm now 50+12STR (with food) +30ATK.
I was wondering if I sell my Kotes and pick up some

Enkelados's Brc. LVL.50 DEF.14 WAR/MNK/RDM/THF/PLD/DRK/BST/BRD/SAM/NIN/DRG
HP+25 STR+7 DEX-4 AGI-4
And also get (2) +3STR rings.
This will put me at 50+21STR(with food).

Now I just dont know if this will prove more powerfull or not.
I dont have AF gloves, cause I have finish the quest on my WHM before I can get the quest for MNK.
I would like to get Victory rings +4STR but they sell for 470k each on my sever.
Anyone got any ideas?

enkelado's bracelets are not worth it. you're better of with your artifact gloves or ochiudo's kote.
the upgrade of enkelado's which are available at lv60 may be better though, i haven't tried them myself though so i don't know.

Monks get all kinds of gloves to choose from, the choices can be a bit...distressing.

34-Ochiudo's +20ATK

50-Enkelados's Brc. +7STR -4DEX/AGI

54-AF Gloves +4STR "Enhances Boost" (and how!)

60-Pallas' Brc. +9STR -5DEX/AGI

70-Alkyoneus's Brc. +11STR -6DEX/AGI

73-AF2 Gloves +16ATK "Enhances Chakra"

Now personally, and lord knows EVERY monk got a different opinion on this, I like AF gloves, and will use them till lvl 70 for Alkyoneus's, and then till 73 for AF2 (If I should be so lucky as to get those).

I didn't notice a difference in my dmg output at 54 with Ochi's on compared to AF gloves. And I loved the "Enhance Boost" effect and was tired of blinking in and out from switching between the two. This, of course, is what I've seen. Some others will say different things I'm sure.

I really can't recommend Ochi's after 54 though...hope this helped. Good luck wrapping your head around which gloves you'd like. >_> We got a wide variety and they all look so good.

Well I got both sets of gear right now.
Now I only have 1 problem.
Seems like all we have been xping on is crabs and with a sure fire STR down every fight ,its become very hard to test the differance.
Plus they just buff like crazy.
I was thinking of maybe hunting down some "Even" to test this out.

The choice is not hard at all (to me anyway). Temple Gloves then Pallas Bracelet then Alkyoneus' Bracelet. More Strength= More Damage

I also found that Ochi Kote offered next to nothing over AF gloves and to the original poster, yes I did notice the same with a fenrir smn in my PT.

My dmg went up quite a lot and the pld was having hell trying to keep hate off me due to hitting the mobs so hard.

I can say for one im glad I sold off my ochi kote in favour of my Af glovesm ill be switching to the pallas' bracelets as soon as I can.

I got very lucky this weekend, I found a load of helpfull people this weekend.
I was able to do WHM AF3 and the Gloves, They also helpped me get MNk AF3
So now I just need to get a new CN key and Kill DRK spark and I sould be set.
