Pardon my typing, I've got a busted hand. Anyway, I have a request for you, if you would be so kind.

Everyone debates the Ochiudo's Kote vs. Temple Gloves comparison. I myself have both and am beginning to wonder if I should sell my Kotes, and pick up Spartan Cesti with the sales cash.

Would you be willing to set up a damage parse of Kote vs. Temple in an exp. situation? For example, test 1 hour using Kotes, then the next hour using Temple Gloves.

Well, I can try. I'm curious myself. Really though, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself. Just download the FFXI parser (google search should turn it up, it's at a frontiernet.net address). I know there's an option to insert a comment into the parser so that you know when you switched gloves (something like /echo parser comment "Switched to Temple Gloves.")

We'll see. If I remember, next time I'm xping, I'll try to do it. The main problem is getting a large enough sample size to be able to draw a conclusion in the event that the results are close, meaning I'd need a fairly long-lasting PT that killed lots of mobs (preferably at least 50 for each test).

Also... all the PT members can't go AFK ever or else the data will be incorrect.

And you can't gain a level while doing this parser, otherwise that would contribute to the latter hour.

If I could run a parser, I would have. Being on a PS2, I believe this option is not available to me.

Nothing would have been more gratifying than being able to run a parser 24/7 as I leveled up. I'd use it to prove to these naysayers that no class outside of good Rangers and perhaps BLMs have ever outdamaged me thus far to 60.

u dont need to prove it with a parser...the little drks know that you outdamage them, they just like to live in fantasy.

all it comes down to is they took the job of drk because they were under the impression that it was THE definitive uber dmg dealer in the game...they were ignorant, and presumptious.

mnk is THE definitive dmg melee in the game...people arguing that just look foolish...we've all seen the two head up.
