Going back to Mnk

Having tried Redmage for a bit and getting sick of it from being in Valkrum i've decided to go back to mnk which I have at 30. What should I be grapping for equipment? Right now i'm still leveling warrior and I have a spike necklace, two beetle earrings and two courage rings which I'll use for my mnk.
Should I pick up the level 30 Mercenary gear until 40 and replace what I can until I hit 40. I have about 250K to work with but I figure after I buy the level 30 gear I'll have less so I won't have the dollars to afford a kote quite yet not sure if I will either.
Its 500K on my server I think.

any info is appreciated, and oh which knuckles should I pick up before I can grap the impact ones at level 32

parts of the merc. capt. equip is great. . .

lacking the emp. hairpin i use the merc. capts headgear
i also use the doublet
pants-martial slacks
i have balance rings, but since you're mithra courage rings are the way to go
feet. . . this one is kind of a toss up. there's nothing that really stands out in my mind, except leaping boots. . . im wearing soil kyhan right now
hands -battle gloves
weap . . . i used cougar bangknahs until i got impact at 32. perhaps theres another weap i should have put in there somewhere, but i never saw a need to.
belt - purple belt definately.
and if you can afford it get the beetle+1 earrings instead of the regular beetle earrings
neck- can't beat the spike necklace^^
back- another toss up. again, nothing stands out really, except the +evasion ones.

I'm 99.9% sure that monks can't use leaping boots.
