  • Hundred Fists bonus

Just something I haven't seen mentioned yet. When you activate Hundred Fists, any slow status you have on you is ignored. The effect doesn't go away, but it's just ignored for the duration of Hundred Fists (i.e., your Hundred Fists is the same speed it always is).

This information is brought to you courtesy of a Lich that brought a Fallen Knight with him because the pld aggroed the Lich and stood 5 feet away from it and the knight while the Lich casted Tornado on him (causing him to go into orange HP...you get the picture). I had Horror Cloud used on me the fight before (slow effect).

I think what Hundred Fists does is take whatever your delay is at the time you use it (including all effects like haste, slow, etc) and simply makes your delay 0 for one minute.

I'm pretty sure it gives you a negative delay, since when i unequip everything and just use my fists, i still have a delay which is longer than my hundred fists w/ all my equipment. i'd guess its like a -200 dly from ur current dly
      *again, just guessing

Sorry m8, that's just how it goes

If chances are one million-to-one that something will go wrong, there's still a 50-50 chance it won't..

Well, you have a default delay of like 3-400...I'm too lazy to test out the actual delay.

Weapons just add to that...that's why a lot of people opt for the high damage, high delay weapons..+30 delay = delay of 330...+90 delay = delay of 390. Not a very big difference.

And I don't think Hundred Fists simply makes your delay 0...because with the higher delay h2h weapons I do notice that I attack a little slower. It probably just subtracts a large % of your delay or somethin' like that.

i'm pretty sure hundred fists ignores weapon delay...

you can take a Staff and hit for half the speed of claws (do to 1 attack per round rather than 2)

my testing has been it reduces your inate delay to 0, so w/o weapons you'd be doing constant punches for 30sec, but weapon delay is added... but with mnk weapons the delay is so low it's not noticable

Sounds about right that it subtracts your base delay from your total weapon speed (probably with a minimum attack speed of like 30 for Hundred Fists with no weapon equipped).

Anyway, the interesting thing that I found was that the slow effect is ignored...which is nice. Otherwise, the ability wouldn't be nearly as good if you were slowed.

from what i've sensed, negative effects like Slow does indeed affect the speed even while Hundred Fists is on. never timed anything, but there was ovbious "pause" when Slow was on me, which didn't seem to appear without Slow.

btw, just to confirm, Hundred Fists does NOT reduce the delay to 0; ur weapons' delay is still counted in. and this is precisely why bare fists end up doing more dmg during Hundred Fists under most circumstances. (my guess is few to none of ppl here ever bothered trying using bare fists w/ Hundred Fists in leveling parties.) u'll be amazed at how fast we attack, that the attacking graphic effects almost get canceled by the next moves.

                  Fascinating... I must try this...

                  *Edit*
A thought I just had... Tropical Punches would be nice with this. Since they already have a 0 delay, it's like Barehanded+. Really not worth the extra inv slot to hang on to in case of 2hour IMO, but something fun at least.

Also, at what point do you think the lack of +DMG would outweigh the attack speed of 100fists? I mean, at some point, unequipping the weapon must completely cripple your damage on certain mobs. 100 zeros doesn't sound all that good ;(
