    Guy in ls said there nerfing multi-hit weapon skills...

    Heres what he said would happen...

    You get tp for 1 full hit... then 1% for each additionaly hit...

    Say i get 6 back for a normal attack... all 5 raging hits land i get 30...

    Well according to this rule after the patch if all hits of Raging Fist land I'll only get 10 tp back...

    Is this true? Can anyone confirm it?

    There's a post about this in the general Race&Job Type discussion forum. Right now it's just that: a rumor... we'll find out what the real deal is after the patch.

        This is confirmed. Check the patch notes. Monks and Ninjas will still get credit for a full round of attacks (so 11-12%) and then +1 for each hit thereafter; so a monk should be getting 14-15% TP return from raging fists, which isn't THAT bad...

        Drks, Drgs, and Wars on the other hand (2H weapon users)....ouch. Guillotine goes from 50% to 15.5%, Penta from ~46% to ~14.5%, Raging Rush from ~48% to ~15%...I can only think they did this to improve the viability of the samurai class as TP-gaining masters.

        Seriously though...damn, this blows.

          An all-hit musouashuraken used to net me 40-44 TP (based on grapple at the time)...
          now it'll be 16-17 TP...
          this freakin' sucks...hard...

            so that brings the question, how usefull are all those classes that depeneding on those skills now that the TP Nerf is in place..... ie. DRG,DRK,MNK, etc...
            BST43/BRD16/WHM30/NIN10/DRG12/SMN2/

              how useful are they? just as much as they where before it's not like this ruins monk...

              sure it hurts em but hell thank god we didn't get it as bad as DRG...

              For one Dragon Kick still returns the same amount of tp as it did before...


              slight difference in the way it works... Mnks get credit for 2 hits cause of 2 fists...

                This is far worse for DRKs, DRGs, and 2H Axe WARs than it is for monks (4, 5, and 4 hit WS respectively). Sure, Pentathrust wasn't that great in the 60+ arena, but it made DRGs highly sought after 49-60. Now.../shudder.

                Raging Fists will return around half the TP it used to, which isn't THAT bad. Guillotine, Pentathrust, and Raging Rush...gutted. Dream Asura Fist is also nowhere near as good as it was.

                At least we got subtle blow out of the patch, should help a lot with higher level monks for getting into HNM LS

                  It's actually not too bad a thing. This will reduce WS spamming, making normal hits actually matter (Monks are very good with normal attacks as well, and gain TP pretty quick anyway). It will also put more emphasis on forming Skillchains.

                    you guys should be glad. I sure as hell am. This is major nerfage for drgs and drks - monks wont lose THAT much tp, and our specialty is damage over time with fast attacks, double attack and kick attack... I would go as far to say that monks will definitely be hands down the best damage dealing melee character in the game now. It will be much easier to get into parties, hopefully.

                      I was EXP'ing last night and didn't really notice much difference. The fact that I now get 10% to 15% TP back from Raging as opposed to 25% to 30% hasn't really changed things much. I still am usually up in the 150% range by the time the rest of the PT is ready to renkei.

                      MNK gain TP fast, so the TP fix hits us the least.

                      Besides, enemies are the ones who got the biggest TP nerf. They only get TP off of the first hit of a multi hit WS now, and MNK and NIN have Subtle Blow to further reduce enemy TP gain.

                      Subtle Blow is just wrong - I was testing it out by soloing Easy Prey Sahgins in Sea Grotto. Before the patch, they could usually do 2 or 3 WS on me in one fight. Now, I rarely even see them use 1 in a fight. In about 20 of them killed, I think 3 or 4 actually used a WS on me. That my friends is POWER.

                      As far as I'm concerned, this patch is the best thing to happen to MNK ever.

                        the tp thing will not effect drk
                        from lv 1 to 60 we get no 1 multi hit ws
                        from lv 60 to 65 we will use guill but after that from lv 65 to 75 we use 1 hit ws only and its hella strong and we can do with it lv3 renkei

                        like what we see we only use multi hit ws for 5 lv not like mnk and drg who use multi hi ws most of the time

                        the only thing about this patch suck for drk is farming without guill we will farm slow

                          Before patch, Pentha was giving up to 60% TP (using Lance) back if all attack landed. Still pentha didn't own, but it give opportunies to give a free WS once in while as you was able to build TP much faster than most job, Sam not included.

                            yeah but that time you get guil is the time your a major threat to us for pt's... which in turn helps us
