Need Detail Info on quested ws

hi, just wanna ask around the peeps here that already got asuran fists

i just got the quest from obggi today, and i need some info about 1st (getting rid of latent effect) and 2nd part (NM fight) of the quest

any info would be appreciated, thanks !

first part, as u already know, is to get rid of the latent effects of the weapon. it's done by using WS' (any, could be Combo).

u r to aquire 300 points, and the points u get is as follows;

Solo WS - 1
WS and finish lvl 1 renkei - 2
WS and finish lvl 2 renkei - 3
WS and finish lvl 3 renkei - 5

u only get points when u use WS' against Easy Preys or harder FROM YOU. meaning, if u bring a lvl 75 friend to help u out, and u fight a mob that's Easy Prey from u but Too Weak from lvl 75, u do get points.

obviously, if u use Dragon Kick and finish Light renkei, u get the most points. so the fastest way is to grab a friend of urs who can use WS w/ Fusion attribute, namely WAR, DRG, RNG, 71+ SAM, and WHM w/ Hexa Strike. kill anything that's not Too Weak, but is indeed easy to kill. Crabs in Kuftal would be good if the place isn't crowded. at lvl 71, u should be able to think of alternatives. or, join skill-up parties and tell them that u r trying to get rid of latent effects for WS quest. most of the time, they r helpful to setup renkei and let u finish it.

u can check if u have 300 points by looking at the stat. the dscription on the weapon stays, but if u did get 300 points, u should no longer have +20 on hp, nor +10 on vs. Earth. nevertheless, it's good to keep record each time u use WS'.


after u got rid of the latent effects, u go back to Bastok and trade the weapon to Obggi. he then gives u a trial map and tell u to go kill the NM. (map is just another important item, and won't actually tell where to go. yeah, i know that's crap.)

NM u fight is located at I-8, the bottom floor of Bostaunieux Oubliette. if none of ur party members have a map, make sure u study them beforehand.

there's "???" at I-8, and as u check it, NM spawns. it's a skeleton type NM. a nicely formed party of 6 70+ would do a job, but i recommend 12 ppl, just to be on the safe side.

after u defeat NM, check "???" again and u get an important item. (don't know the name in English.) then go back to Bastok and talk to Obggi, and u now learn the Asuran Fists.
