Hi, i was wondering if anyone knew of a fast way to level up Guarding? I hear that Guard kicks in ALOT when its maxed but since monks dont really tank much throughout the game its kind of hard to level it. I'am a 52/26 Monk/War in a set PT so I rarely tank but i would like to max it in time for the Genkei 5 fight with Maat... My Guard is currently at 70 while H2H and Evasion are maxed at over 150 something so ya its quite underleveled. I was hoping someone could tell me a trick to leveling it up fast. Perhaps an area or a certain mob where i can just stand there and get hit while being safe near a zone would be very appreciated. A friend told me it levels up fast when you face T mobs according to your guard level so i went to qufim and let pugils hit me but no skills ups. Also have tried going to kazham letting the fast mandras hit me in Yhoater Jungle but the progress stopped after a few skill ups. Anyways Thanks in Advance for any help u can provide.

Unfortunately, guard is not like evasion. You actually have to guard for it to go up, and it doesn't happen often at all. This is the recommended way to up guard skill from THE Japanese monk webpage.

Pick something that's below your level. Not too low that they're too weak to even touch you, but not too high that they might wipe the floor with you.
Aggro both the monk and the range, but target only the range and maneuver yourself so that you're facing the monk. This way, you're in battle mode and you're able to guard the monk's attacks and beacuse you're targetting the ranger and he's got distance from you, so you won't pulverize him to smithereens. You'll probably counter the monk a lot more than guard however.
