monk ws's..

ok as far as i know each ws has their bread and butter skill like DRK has their guillotine skill how ever its spelt hehe i was wondering what monk's skill is..also i need some advice for level 20ish in that range as far as getting kills on mobs i keep getting outkilled and its frustrating,...right now im level 15 almost 16 bout 500 so i'll be 16 soon enough..

was also wondering what the the good and the bad ws's are ? any help would be great thanks.

im also curious at what level i can get each WS at, of course figuring my h2h skill i scapped at each level.

Well Raging Fist which is learned at lvl 41 is a good move they learn. Also Ausran Fist learned in 65+ I think is a 8 hit combo dealt the the enemy.

Combo lv3 - good - Your buddy until Rangeki
Tackle lv13 - bad - Even at 300TP, the stun duration isn't long enough to be worth it
Tankei (1" Punch) lv 24 - good/bad - Makes great renkei starter and defence cut is great on crabs and crawlers, but damage isn't too great
Backhand Blow lv33 - good - With high enough TP, this can do a surprisingly good amount of damage
Rangeki (Raging Fists) lv41 - good - Your buddy, even beyond Kuumeiken at times
Spin Attack lv49 - bad - Not a lot of damage, area attacks simply haven't been worthwhile ever since square nerfed farming WAY back in the day
Kuumeiken (Howling Fist) lv60 - good - Good Single hit damage and starter of a very popular incurve renkei (Kuumeiken > Dancing Edge)
Souryuukyaku (Dragon Kick) lv65 - good - Another good single hit, will finish many renkeis for lv3 light
Musouashuraken (Asuran Fists) lv71 - good - Awesome renkei for soloing. Only detractor is the amount of TP it gives enemy (8‰ñ) but the damage dealt potentially is astounding

just got Raging Fists and it is awsome... great for solo'ing, and almost gives the Theif sub for SA + WS worth...

but if i'm in a pt with a theif i still go back to Backhand Blow > Viper Bite as it tears the shit out of anything in Crawlers Nest...


Without a Theif tho Raging Fists like 300-400 dmg vs IT mobs..

I have actually done 500+ with raging fists (berserk + ochiodo's kote + boost + focus + 2 strenght rings/brown belt) this is when I land all 5. I can't wait until lvl 50 I am almost there I wonder how much I can do with double attack


up until lvl 41 I did this renkei most of the time..and even when I soloed WS

Red Lotus Blade -> Combo (fusion...I have 2 blms in my groups so combo did about 200 something damage I think + 2 250-300 firega/fire II MB it was very nice). I just now got a theif in my set party so I am going to try Backhand blow + Viper but if I do that then I might have to sub thf.....cause if the critical hit doesn't fire on backhand it will do as much as a regular hit (around 60-70), but with thf subbed it will always do 100+ and if it fires 200+.

But.....I dont know...now I am doing Red Lotus Blade -> Raging fists lol I like skill chaining with the PLD because we have our timing perfect (I solo one WS and then I do one with him).

Right now I am trying to get timing right so I can renkei with both the thf and the PLD. But we try to save fudiama + viper for begging of fight to stick it on the PLD so timing it is kinda hard.

Back to topice Monks have the best weapon skills ever....okay so I am a little biased but still doing 400 damage at least twice a fight with raging fists is pretty sweet.
