dexterity impoves accuracy and possiblilty of landin a critical
agility improves evasion, ranged atack and rang accuracy i think

dexterity is always nice to have agi not really needed for a monk
    74 monk , 50 nin ,37 warrior, 30 thief, 24 sam

Just a small correction, Agi does nothing for ranged attack, str is for both ranged attack power and melee attack power.

well if you want repeated info here you go:

        strength
Increases max damage, increases attack (2 str -> 1 attack)
        ..attack
        raises average damage

        dexterity
increases critical hit rate ranged and melee, increases melee accuracy (2 dexterity -> 1 accuracy melee), factors into sneak attack damage (thf)

        agility
lowers critical hit rate taken, increases evasion (2 agility -> 1 evasion), increases ranged accuracy (2 agility -> 1 ranged acc), factors into trick attack (thf)

        vitality
increases defense (2 vitality -> 1 defense), lowers max damage taken
        ..defense
        lowers average damage taken

the above is what I've read only

from my playing experience it all seems right but I have in no way tested any of that bs lol
