Ok, my LS is having a sort of LS AF2 day coming up, and I was wondering, how hard is my AF2? Would a group of people (around 10) at level 51-54 be able to kill the two NMs? I'd like to know beforehand so I can recruit higher level help as needed. Thanks.

A group of 10 people at that level would have a long battle, but it is doable.
A couple of key points:
1) Make sure you clear the area around the tents of all Orc first. They will link with the two Orc NM and that is very, very bad.
2) One is a MNK, the other is a PLD. Take out the MNK first as the PLD doesn't really do that much damage. They will both use their 2 hours, so watch out for that.
3) After you win, the battle usually takes so long that the 'Hide Flap' will have moved. Don't worry, just go look for it on another tent in the nearby area to get the San'Dorian Book Of Martial Arts.Vargas 75 MNK - Ragnarok (Retired)

yep that trick works for this quest i did it myself (this was a few months ago so no idea if it was changed but doubt it). you can use a reraise scroll too and solo it. i found it easier to duo with a friend. i spawned the NMs, ran like hell to the zone, died on the way tho. took reraise when my friend cleared some wasps and rested. then when they depopped my friend used flee to train all the orcs away from the flap and i clicked it to finish.
just make sure you dont zone after you spawn them and you can do it this way. supposedly you can also lose aggro but i didnt have luck with that. note: the NM will link all orcs on your run even the too weak ones. just make sure you know where your going and pick a safe place to die is my suggestion.
good luck.

I wish i'd known this was soloable way back when I did it...
-_-
I had to wait a week until I could gather all the people I needed.
The fight itself is pretty difficult. You'd need 8-12 50+ or PT of 60+...
but this is like a lot of quests...
simply touch point A and get item at point B, but oh yeah, well put an NM in the way...
The cermet headstone work the same way for Ziraat M5. You don't have to fight the NMs that spawn when you touch them (for those locations that do spawn), but if you try to solo, their engagement with you will cancel an event progress if they hit you.
*for mnk af2, there is no event in Davoi. You recieve the item upon checking the hide flap...that is, if you survive long enough to make it there XD*

If you have a level 60+ redmage friend with blackmage sub willing to burn their 2 hour for you, you don't have to die at all.
Have him prep by casting all the the prerequisite "don't touch me" magics like blink, stoneskin and phalanx. Run in and check the hide flap. This well spawn the NM's. Have him cast diaga to get their attention to him. While he soaks up hits, look for the hide flap again and get the martial arts book. Run back to his position (his spells probably all wearing off by now) and have him chainspell escape to get you both out of there.
