What to sub to Monks...

Sorry if this topic has been beat to death.

I did a /sea mnk 60-75 last night and found 3 monks, 2 are Mnk/Thf and 1 is Mnk/Sam.

Well it's pretty obvious to me why one would sub Sam, but why is thf a good sub? Sneak+Trick does'n't doesn't increase dmg like main Thf, so what is the reason behind this? War's str bonus and berserk would give much more regular hits to make /thf good imho.

I was expecting mostly Mnk/war and Mnk/sam and was totally wrong. And no they weren't farming, they were lfg.

I'll just post all of the benefits from all the jobs.

MNK/WAR- Have defense boosts, attack boosts, berserk, war cry, double attack, and of course provoke for if you have a mnk/thf or just a thf in the PT.

MNK/THF- Obviously for trick/sneak, when combined with double dragon kick it is devastating, and there is no way anyone would be able to pull hate from the tank after that. (not that it matters as things usually die right after that)

MNK/SAM- An extremely overrated sub for mnk, you never get good enough TP back from raging fist for it to be useful. Only time it may is Dream Asura...but really I'd still prefer WAR sub for more damage.

Breal, in your opinion is /Thf worth it? You will hit slightly more but less dmg per hit. How much more dmg do you get with ST oppose to a /WAR dragon kick?

Btw what level is double Dragon Kick?

double dragon kick is ws lv225 lv65 you get it.

/thf you will do less damage overall but you will be awesome for hate management, and in bone PTs you really need to have the renkei ender sub thf so they don't die :sweat:

65 I believe, just like most of the 225 WS.
