MNK AF2 - Davoi Tent NM

I have allready completed the part where you go to Fei'yin and talk to Dulzak.

My problem is this: my LS is afraid to help me with this quest as there are 2 Orc NM to fight. We are all around levels 53-56 (6 of us) so I don't think we will have a problem.

How hard is this to beat? I'm getting sick of hearing my LS members complain about how "we can't beat it if there are two NM to fight".....

This is a pretty tough fight.
Both will use their 2 hour. One is MNK, one is PLD, so both their 2 hours are particularly annoying.
I really suggest either bringing another 3-5 people in your level range...
or pick up a couple 65+ peeps...
it's a drawn out battle, so be ready for a long haul.

When i went, I brought myself (54 at the time) and the rest 60+s...and even then, it was still long...

just so u know..., for MNK AF2, u do NOT have to fight the NM's.

when u check the Hide Flap, it'll spawn the NM's, and Hide Flap moves to another location. at this point, u have already fulfilled the requirement to obtain the item needed, so if u can somehow run away from NM's, u can get back there and check Hide Flap to get it. note that u can NOT step out of Davoi, or u have to start over again. (meaning, NM's again.)

i actually soloed AF2, w/ my PLD (62 at that time) w/ THF sub. it was like this;

1. find the Hide Flap.
2. execute Invinsible, and check the Hide Flap.
3. as soon as NM's spawn, execute Flee and rush to the river. (Orcs chase us by the smell, so running straight in the water should cut them off. Deodorizer might help, too, but i dind't use it. also, study the map so u know where u should head to.)
4. don't turn around, go straight all the way till the end.
5. after healing, use Prizm Powder and head back to F-6,7 and find Hide Flap to get an item.

believe or not, this works. if u r going to do it, make sure u shout out beforehand that u'd be doing MNK AF2 and will run from the NM's.

Just got this last night. It was beaten by a 55 WAR/SAM, 56 WHM/BLM, 55 RNG/WAR, 56 DRK/WAR, 55 PLD/WAR, and 50 MNK/WAR.

As long as you clear the area of all Orc that link, the two NM by themselves are not that bad. Take out the MNK first, and the PLD has got nothing on you.

Didn't make it through Fei'Yin. :mad: Guess I'll take a mage friend and maybe a person with the map. ;p

You can do this AF solo if you dont mind taking a death. I'd recommend at least 1 person helping you though.
