Ochiudo's Kote or AF gloves

Which one are honestly better for a monk at 50+?

Those gloves are good ... I'll wear them it's up to you really we can't make that choice try them out to see what you think.

If you can, get both. Use the AF Gloves pre-battle to get a Boosted Chi blast off at the start of the fight, which especially helps if you have to subtank for Trick/Sneak onto the MT. After that, switch to the Kote mid-battle until you're about to do a WS. Then, switch to the AF Gloves again to get in a quick Boost before you let it off.

Switching equipment no longer resets your TP; that bug was fixed a couple patches ago.

hmm how expensive is Ochiotu's Kote?
cause i can wear them next lvl but i really doubt i can afford them...

How much of a difference is there in Boost when you equip the AF gloves?

Kote runs from 250-400k on most servers.

People have reportedthat AF gloves give Boost a nice healthy upgrade, going from a normal Boost of 30 or so to a bigger one of 40-50, which matters.

Boost without AF gloves at 56 is +28 attack.
Boost with AF gloves at 56 is +42 attack.

Temple Gloves: Hands, DEF 14, HP +14, STR +4, Resist Dark Magic +10. Enhances 'Boost' Effect. Level 54 MNK.

It makes a big difference when you stack it up for Chi Blast, my high is 350+ damage from a Chi with AF gloves.

Ochitos Kote is currently 500k on Seraph.

Think I'll stick with Temple Gloves for a while.

kotes are much better, the boost in your attack is much better than the boosts you get from the AF gloves

Yes they may be better but temple gloves are... (say if with me now) FREE

All joking aside I will probably just carry both ..when I can afford the kote but kote wont be being brought before brown belt since I have no patience for the nms that drop the stuff.

18.5% or so maybe it was 18% can't remember. But that's the boost advantage to AF gloves.

How are they much better?

I was under the impression that +20 Attack in Kote's affect would diminish as you level up and the +4 Str would be more and more noticalbe in you base damage as you level up.

2 STR=1 attack

Yes I know that 2Str gives you 1 attack. Str is not just about increasing Attack pts, if it were then STR items would be totally worthless.
