Yes, but they will be weaker. I'm a Taru thief in a all taru LS. There are WHM, BLM, RDM, WAR's, A PLD, name it we have it. They all love it. If you want to make it , do it.

i would think monk would be the best taru melee just cuz you get an hp upgrade and a strenght upgrade. Then you do MNK/SAM and you'll be good

Any job that doesn't utilize a Taru's superior magick skills will be challenging for him.

But that doesn't mean it can't be done.

I have no problem with my monk taru at all - in fact I have solo'd the majority of my 30 levels.

However, my warrior job sucks big time.
