Is monk JSE out yet? If so does anyone have a pic of it?

Ok, I guess I am a n00b, but what is a/the JSE?

JSE stands for Job Specific Equipment, and in ffxi, ones apart from AF (artifact). often means the ones crafted w/ the rare items dropped by NM's, and require high crafting skills. lvl needed to equip them is high, 65+.

back to the original question, i don't believe there's one yet. look for one in the next patch in december.

Um... I saw something that a lvl 70 Galka MNK was wearing that definitely wasnt AF...

I havent uploaded that particular screenshot to my hosting account yet, so I cant link it... but the upper-body armor looks like what this elvaan is wearing. (In my opinion, much cooler than the schoolbus-yellow AF gear ^^). I'll get the Galka pic up when I get home. It's a closer shot so you can see more.

this one isn't JSE. the elvaan in the pic is sam, and this one can be worn by mnk, sam, and nin. thus doesn't fall into the JSE classification.

fyi, the one in the pic is;

Arhat's Gi, Lv 64, Def 38, Physical Dmg Taken-6%, Enmity+3, MNK, SAM, NIN

plus, it's not so expensive either. costs only like 20-30k in AH.

Thanks for explaining what that meant. One more question though, has anyone heard if they will ever put nunchucks in the game? I just think that would be the coolest weapon for a monk.

yeah, nunchucks should be cool, but unfortunately, no nunchucks in this game. :sweat: mnk can equip clubs and staffs, but that's about it.

Nunchucks are more of a Ninja's weapon. IMO

lv64 MNK/SAM/NIN armor





yeah...with the expansion, all the MNK JSE turned into MNK/SAM/NIN...the only specific armor are a few scattered pieces and AF as of now...
