  • THF/MNK or MNK/THF?

which do you think turns out better.

    Passive Ability Differences
    70THF/35MNK
Resist Gravity up at 40 THF
    Treasure Hunter II 45 THF
Physical Evasion Power Up 50 THF
    Triple Attack 55 THF

    70MNK/35THF
    Martial Arts 45 MNK
    Kicking 51 MNK
    HP Max Up 55 MNK
    Martial Arts 60 MNK

    Active Ability Differences
    70THF/35MNK
Hide 45 THF (Enemies will not be able to see you)

    70MNK/35THF
Energy Projectile 41 MNK (Throws an energy ball at target)
Alarmed 45 MNK (Counter attack up / Defense down)

The attacking will be faster with the h2h weapons on MNK/THF, with an obviously higher HP, plus i get kicking. my projectile, and the counter+ buff.

The evading will be higher with the THF/MNK, resist gravity will be higher, more items, plus hide and triple attack

also, does any1 know if i was say 60MNK/30THF could i use claws that are lvl 40 only for THF/NIN for example?

or would the THF class have to be lvl 40?

      Question
      1) Are any of either the THF or MNK job skills passive? Or are they all skills you must select to use? Because something like gil raise or perfect evasion seem like passive abilities, ones that will automatically add to your character.

      2) So, as there is a cap on abilities for sub classes, would a MNK/THF get all of the THF abilities up until job lvl 35? Basically, all except for Gravity Resist, Hide, and another evasion raise?

      Thanks, this helps a lot

I think that unless u were planning on lvling an insane amount u shouldnt really worry about the lvl 50+ abilities...MNK/THF would be better due to sneak attack at thirty stacking with One-Inch Punch a grapple skill that ignores defense...would deliver damn good dmg to target and get all the aggro u need for the rest of the battle

Both jobs have passive abilities, including (but not limited to):

THF- Evasion Bonus, Treasure Finder, Resist Gravity

          MNK- Martial Arts, HP Bonus

THF's Perfect Dodge is not passive; you dodge all physical attacks for 30 seconds.

MNK/THF would also miss out on THF's 2hr, Perfect Dodge.

As to an earlier question, your main job (not sub) affects what equipment you can use. If the weapon is Lv40 THF/NIN, and your main is MNK, you can't equip it, regardless of level.

          Centurio X-I 1/1 - Celphie 1/1 - Deadly Dodo 0/2 - Doppleganger Dio 0/1 - Jaggedy-eared Jack 0/7 - Joo Duzu the Whirlwind 1/1 - Leaping Lizzy 2/16 - Mimas 0/1 - Odqan 1/9 - Orcish Wallbreacher 0/1 - Ose 1/3 - Sagittarius X-XIII 1/1 - Serpopard Ishtar 3/6 - Silk Caterpillar 1/2 - Tom Tit Tat 0/2 - Trickster Kinetix 0/2 - Valkurm Emperor 6/10 - Wyvernpoacher Drachlox 1/1

Isn't Perfect Dodge is a 2hr skill good for running away from mob to the zone line?

Most Bias POLL EVER DONE. It would be obvious that all monk main would go with MONK/THF.

But did you know Sneak Attack does not have the dmge mult. if it is subbed? You don't get that high nasty crit. strike dmge...

              TA isnt until lvl60....
