  • Problems doing dmg?

Been thinking for a while now.... was training at valkurm dunes recently and i found that my monk was doing pathetic dmg compared to the rest of the group..... All my hits against tough, very tough or incredibly tough were very low... in the regions of 3 - 9 per hit..... I dun think the fact that i hit for more times makes up for the lack in dmg.... any comments on this? i think my Att was 57 and Def was 58.... using Burning cesti at the moment...
stats are +3 Dmg +40 Delay +3 Accuracy Additional Dmg : Fire Dmg

For some reason, I've noticed that too. I'm using tropical punches(DMG +1, Delay +0, Accuracy +10) yet im still missing my attacks half of the time. Warriors seem to do more damage still.

After completing the subjob quest, I put warrior as my subjob and my attacks seem to do more damage now. So I guess all monks need are subjobs.

18, you need to go to Valkurm Dunes to get to Selbina which is the closest for you to do the subquest(also hear its the easiest). If not, you can take a boat and head over to Mhaura to do their subjob quest. It's a pain to do this quest because the Magickd Skull is so hard to get. Ghouls only spawn between 20:00 and 4:00. Since everyone is hunting the ghouls at this time, you're lucky to encounter one. Even if you do encounter, the drop rate is rare. Good luck

I'm assuming you're in a party that (correctly) fights tough/very tough/incredibly tough monsters. Well, the thing is, when you fight monsters that are significantly stronger than you, you're bound to miss on quite a few attacks, no matter your job.

But don't worry about it; once your level hits around the mid-twenties, you'll see yourself becoming the major damage dealer in your party.

Monsters will learn to fear your grapples.
