I am a Mithra Monk, started out in the Bastok Region
I am having a bit of trouble staying interested in my monky.
I am currently lvl 11. I have so-so gear for a USA noob (Kenpogi, Brass Knuckles, Monks Helm which has +5 evasion, resitance earrings, white belt, 2 copper rings, etc).
The problem is party's. I cant ever find one. Is this goign to turn into everquest, where there arent enoguh healers around? Or are monks just not wanted in partys? I can solo just fine.
And because im not getting groups enough, ive almost deleted my character and started over as another class so i can get that region ring, but i didnt.
Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone have any suggestions on where to hunt? Where to solo? I want to leave bastok badly but im not sure how to obtain an airship pass. My rank in my region is 1, no completed conquests except one supply quest. No completed missions.
Anyway yea monk is getting boring, and i hear u can only really sub this job with tanks, and a mnk/anything sucks (in other words monk as main in long term isnt worth it...what? why?)
When the pre game hype was starting up, I was wanting to think i could someday when the game was released be a kool hybrid melee/caster, like a Monk/BLM, Ninja/Bard, or like a War/Summoner, but now that ive talked to people in game they say stuff like that wont get u anywhere and especially not in groups, that takes my fun of origionality in the game away from me.
Anyone else goign thru this? I guess ill just play this monk class all the way to 30 so i can quest the better classes.
PS. I played an Everquest Monk and a Bard for 3-4 years in case anyone is wondering where my mmorpg experience is.
