I could use some help in deciding what gear I want to get once I reach level 70+, and any advice on my current gear setup.
Current gear:
Weapon: Grand Knight’s Lance Acc+7
Head: Valkyrie’s Mask att+7
Neck: Merman’s Gorget Acc+5
Body: Jaridah Peti Acc+5, Att+5
Waist: Life Belt Acc+5
Hands: Enkelados’s Bracelets Str+7
Back: Amemet Mantle Str+1, Att+10
Legs: Tiger Trousers Att+4
Feet: Drachen Greaves
Ring 1: Sun Ring Str+3
Ring 2: Sun Ring Str+3
Earring 1: Beetle Earring +1 Att+3
Earring 2: Assault Earring Att+5, Acc+2
Total +stats:
Str +14, Att +29, Acc + 29
Total +attack is 36 counting the +14 str, and I’m not taking into account things like +agility and stuff, I am more interested in str, acc, att, and to a lesser extent +dex.
I can currently hit high end VT-low IT reasonably well. High end VT, it’s a bit of a tossup as to whether I want to eat sushi or not, they seem to be right smack on the borderline there, low IT, yeah, I normally feel more comfortable eating sushi, but I could probably still eat meat on them.
I would like a setup that works equally well for /thf or /war, however I do not plan on subbing thf in the foreseeable future, so this is really more of a /war setup. I think the best setup would be to have enough +acc that I can hit mid IT to low end IT+ and still eat meat dishes, and this is the gear setup I thought of:
Planned setup, lvl 72+:
Weapon: Imperial Nezza Damage 92
Head: Pahluwan Qalansuwa acc+7, att+5
Neck: Chivalrous Chain str+3, acc+5, Store TP+1
Body: Pahluwan Khazagand acc+10, +critical hit rate
Waist: Potent Belt str+3, acc+8
Hands: Enkelados’s Bracelets/???
Back: Amemet Mantle +1 str+2, att+15
Legs: Pahluwan Seraweels str+3, acc+4
Feet: Drachen Greaves
Ring 1: Woodsman ring acc+5
Ring 2: Woodsman ring acc+5
Earring 1: Assault Earring/???
Earring 2: Fowling Earring/???
Total +stats:
Str +19, Att +25, Acc +49
Stats on the Fowling Earring:
Lvl 70, rare, Str +1, Acc +3, Enhances Bird Killer effect, sells on the AH for about 900k.
My planned endgame activities right now are exp/merits, and dynamis, so I am not considering a gear setup for fighting Kirin or other HNM/Gods.
So, I have a question for the people who are up there at lvl 72+, such as, how much +accuracy DO you really need to hit the mobs well up there? How much dex or +dex do you need to support that accuracy? My main WS will probably be Wheeling Thrust, I’ve played around with some +str setups when using it, and I haven’t noticed any big improvement in it’s damage, so how important is +str for it? For example, I went from +19 str, to +38-42ish str while under spirit surge and with all of my +str gear, and the damage was the same as a high end Wheeling Thrust with +19 str (545 or so on the Colibri’s at lvl 65)
The reason I put the /??? behind some pieces of equipment was because I’m not sure if that’s the best piece of gear for that slot. For instance I could get a Drake earring and a Brutal earring and really up my double attack activation rate. However I’d have to get through CoP and figure out what the latent effect is on the Drake Earring, I’ve heard I just have to sub warrior for it, but I don’t know for sure.
