How well would this do in EXP parties? would it compare to the other pieces,
like the Optical Hat or the new turban from the assault missions?

For those that don't know, Walahra Turban gives 30MP, 30HP, and 5% Haste.

    Hm.

depends on the job honestly. since my axe an katana are both capped now, you will rarely see me in a party using the optical hat. i honestly dont notice me missing much on the tough/Vt mobs. you may see alot of players in haste gear. dusk gloves, fuma sune-ate, swift belt, byakko haidate, W. turban. thats somewhere around +20 haste for a nin.

if your not high into your merits, or stacked with alot of haste gear, this just might not be the best head piece for you at this time.

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

As reading the first answer didn't help - I'll quote the important part.

If you're not into meriting, or stacked with haste gear, this just might not be the best hear piece for you at this time.

        Easy when you know how.

You're welcome LN, just trying to dilute the suffering. ^^

Maybe it was your answer of multiple if statements, that combined it into a boolean arguement that confused him.

Ninja's across the world however did just cream themselves. It rawks for Ninjaga!

Being drg can't use the haidate and some other stuff...I'd say it might not be worth it, being you can only get +10% with a speed belt. In the grand scheme of things 10% might seem like a lot, but say you're looking at like 10% of 500, which makes it a 450 delay, not that useful. That is if that's how the haste works for weapon speed. If haste is figured a different way then maybe it's more useful...I dunno

                Re: Walahra Turban

ultimately, I believe haste gear is the way to go for success for any melee job. But as has been said before, you have to have a lot before you can make a competent haste build.

lemme try to break this down real quick.
For DRG, there's 5% turban, 4% or whatever belt (I don't keep good tabs on the belts since they're stupid-expensive), as well as dusk hands/feet for 5%. 14% isn't bad, but if you're really far into this game, you can look at:

5% turban, 3% homam hands/feet/legs for 14%, plus any belt.

Similar WAR would have around 16% haste in gear.

14% would amount to a Lance swinging around 423ish delay, but with full 492 delay TP. My thinking w/out getting all super-math, is that even if you don't get an extra swing in a fight because another DD killed the mob, you're still getting tp 15% faster and thus, able to WS earlier. Normally, a 492 delay lance swings every 8.2 seconds. With just that 14% haste, you're looking at a swing every 7.05 seconds. that's an extra swing every minute abouts.
"And if he left off dreaming about you, where do you suppose you'd be?"
