Starting job?

I'm new to the game and I don't know which job I should be starting as in order to work out well with Dragoon. I can't decide if (when the time comes) I want to sub as a WHT,RDM, or THF.

What do you guys suggest? I've looked all over the forums, high and low and found NOTHING about starting jobs. Thanks in advance!

So, to start with maybe WAR would be fine. You level war to 37, then DRG While leveling THF too for subjob.

Wow, I'm stupid. Or maybe I'm sleepy.

Thank you both, You have helped shine some light on my question. I'm so tempted to do WHT mage as my sub, but I know it's pretty useless..

=D yay! somebody quoted me!! =D

/whm is good until you start to party, then /war starts to be the best
when you are /whm, if you cast a spell with your hp in the red, the wyvern will use an ability called "healing breath" to recover some of your hp. it's kinda cool, but not really useful till the higher levels (in the 50's, when you get your af helm).
