Re: Subs for DRG
from what i've seen, /warrior and /thief are the two most common subs, depending on your party setup
typically, it's /war until lvl 60, then you can switch to /thief
you want /war especially at 50 for double attack, and you want /thief at 60 for sata (sneak attack/trick attack)Last edited by aegina; 03-14-2006, 11:23 AM.

Re: Subs for DRG
i have seen rdm used as a sub after a certain point and its useful with an dispel or 2 can help out, also dragon will use cure breathe on party members it helps but not always the best choice for partys but it helps <only seen it used a couple times, and it worked great> or /brd is nice for the attack bonus spells and then the magic spell with that dispel <i seen whm/brd and blm/brd just for those reason, great spells> but not always ideal, its all up to what job you like and if your good in a party with it66rdm/70drg/48thf/42blm/37pld/43drk/43war/28nin/24whm/24smn
wanna party? sure
wanna do a bcnm? great
leveling bst in your free time cuase you cant not get party as drg??? priceless

Re: Subs for DRG
in other words, /war can work 1-75. if you just stick with /war, you'll be fine.
other subs can work, too. /thief after 60 (sometimes after 30, but rarer) /mages (mostly for healing breath, mostly for soloing but *can* be used in parties too)
read around a bit to learn a little more, but if you want my advise, just stick with /war and you'll do fine. you can keep /mage levelled for soloing if you wish.

Re: Subs for DRG
i have RDM,WHM,THF, and WAR all high enough to sub
but really in parties from 1-75 WAR was the only sub i used, you will do the most dmg with /war
anytime i'm not in an exp party i have /rdm, its better than whm for soloing stronger mobs EM-T imo
i sub whm when i'm just having some fun with friends
/THF i've used maybe three times total
DRG75,RDM75,PUP75,COR71

Re: Subs for DRG
I don't see any reason to use DRG/THF anymore except for farming.
I hate warrior, but I like subbing War for Berserk if nothing else. I believe DRG/SAM is viable starting at 60/30 since SAM30 is where you get Meditate. I don't know entirely, not there yet.
DRG/mage I enjoy though.

Re: Subs for DRG
im 66 and these are how i use my subs
/war- always in exp pts powerfull and i can grab hate for those much need seconds and usually build it up then super jump it away its work yes but saves a life or 2
/thf- farming only i worked to lvl it up for sata at 60+ its just 2 weak for me sorry
/whm- i use to solo and on missions and af fr my friends
/nin- i have used this in exp mainly for the reason i know i will be pulling and the mobs hit hard, yes it doesnt work as well but saves me my mages mp
/brd- used on primes when no refresher as well as my wyvern burn pts mainly for fun but ok exp. drg/war x1 drg/brd x1 drg/whm x4
so ya get war to 37 and your fine!

Re: Subs for DRG
"Wyvern Burn"...that's the first I've heard of that. (Outside of gilseller parties.) Oh well, it definitely beats sitting around and doing nothing but seek party or get rejected when trying to form parties. (That happened all the time on my monk...I have no idea how DRGs manage.)
The way I see it, /WAR is the best in parties most of the time. DRG can consistantly shed the monster's hate for them, so it makes them a nice choice for a first provoke/trick partner.Generic Info!
Yay for broken connection preventing me from exping/meriting!
