    Re: drg/nin

Offensive breaths are only triggered by weapon skills. Healing breaths are triggered by using magic or songs. Weapon skills can trigger offensive breaths, or breaths that cure a single ailment on a single character.

Somewhere I heard that healing breath on WS was like a curaga, but I must have been dreaming. -_- It's like a -na spell for a single status ailment on you.

Please remember why we're posting here instead of KI or Alla.

Sey is a she (uses elvaan male for char)... I belive she used whm or rdm sub to solo sea horror to lvl up from 69-70, as I distinctly remeber her using dia and bar-spells. You could see that straight-up tanking on drg is quite painful, requiring constant healing breaths. If not for the sacrifice of her wyvern as a trick to deal with hundred fists, she would not have survived.

I did hear from a drg/nin friend that soloed mobs to level up staff skill with little problem.

So Sey was a she all along? O_o ...Usually that's in reverse. Sweet!

Well that's confusing. I assumed she was using a NIN subjob, seeing as in the vid, I read '1 of Seyonne's shadows absorbs the damage and disappears' in the chatlog. Then again... I'm still a newbie when it comes to classes.

People overlook this combination. . . and I dont know why, at 75 you get utsusemi : ichi, and ni , with you AF2 helm you get 50% healing breath, I cannot clarify the % exactly, you can still use lance and do good damage also. With the proper equip / food this combo can be deadly for solo. You can heal yourself, and keep shadows up, also great for skillup, i did it at 73 with just ichi and it owns. Try it for urself at 74+ and you will understand how great it can be for balista also.

                Re: drg/nin

                It is all situational.

Majority of Dragoons will sub /war in regular XP parties.

/thf is useful for certain XP party setups where you are needed to plant hate on someone.

/whm or /rdm for obvious reasons are the best sub jobs for soloing. Plus the occasional Dragoon party set up.

/nin is very very useful if you will be fighting lots of mobs that have AoE damage. This will save the mages MP.

Best example of this would be in a roaming WS spam party on Decorative Weapons in Sky (Whirling Rage is an AoE attack they like to use often). Taking damage slows down the chaining as the mage will be wasting precious MP healing you.

Also, it should be noted, /nin is the ultimate sub job for the CoP Airship fight mission. /nin is also very very useful on one of the final bosses in Limbus (Omega or Ultima, I can't remember).

                  Re: drg/nin

                  Correction.

DRG/NIN gives you a Hybrid Wyvern.
Healing breath normally triggers at 25%, and at 33% with AF2 Helmet.

DRG/BLU, on the other hand, gives you a Healing Wyvern. (Confirmed)
