  • what should i buy next?

atm I'm a lvl42 Mithra drg/war, and i've taken a break from lvling to make money for the upgrades around this lvl, like valkyrie's/walkure masks, lifebelt, +acc rings, etc.

my current equip (dont laugh/flame XD) =
    weap - peregrine
    head - merc. captain's headgear
    body - merc captains doublet
    gloves - gigas bracelets
    legs - bastokan subligars
feet - cuir highboots (still waiting for mithra week to be during my playtime for the RSE shoes)
    neck - spike necklace
    ear - beetle earrings
    rings - garnet/ametrine rings
    waist - tilt belt
    back - ram mantle.....

i have approx ~310k atm, and i make around 60-70k a night from fishing, so i probably wont be able to afford 2x sniper's (like 2mil each on asura) for now at least. could i just get a venerer's ring instead of a snipers? or should i get +str/attack rings since im a mithra?

so what upgrades should i work on getting/in what order should i get them (without going wayyy overboard)?

Holy hell your economy is out a whack.

I was suggest a Life Belt for Accuracy at this point. Switch out those gigas gloves for the Battle Gloves or whatever for +3 accuraccy. You can wear those until you get AF if you'd like, or even to 65 until you get Tiger gear. If you can't afford Snipers, as a Mithra I'd go with Str rings, but that's just me.

Dragoons get ass for equipment most of the time, so up until AF it is quite a train wreck of equipment you'll be wearing. I'd suggest you forget the look and go for stats until AF, which is acceptable until around 65. Tiger/Feral gear is cheap, and AF is free as you know, so no worries there.

make the sniper rings last on your list cause there just to much lol. go for a venerer and +3dex combo til you really think you need them, you should be fine for awhile without them. i waited til i was 60 and took a nice break to get money and got dual snipers.

I am no means a drg pro, but my drg is 43 now. I use Venerer Ring and Shikaree Ring (both free, one quested the other a drop from the Stroper chyme) I went for a Sword Belt (+10 attack) and at 43 a Walkure Mask (+6 attack,+10 hp) Ive found that with the drg acc bonus and eating sushi, I easily have TP faster than my WS partners. I feel that now I have a much better dmg ratio which helps out my pts

As much as this pains me to say this, but at 45, get your hands on the Brigandine Armor. It's generally not too expensive, and a good alternative that can last you a good while.

As much as i dispise it, it a good piece.

I don't usually eat sushi. I have Acc+25 without the job trait and that's enough. Once you hit 59 simply landing your hits isn't enough. Meat mithkabobs are cheaper than sushi and are always a good alternative.

Re: what should i buy next?

Hmmmm, well...lets put it into perspective.

You're a Mithra, which means you will have no trouble whatsoever in the accuracy department. Don't worry about Sniper/Venerer rings whatsoever. They would be a waste of money. With battle gloves, life belt and your innate high DEX....PLUS the accuracy bonus DRG get, you won't miss that much if at all.

For you, its all about STR and Attack. Get Brigadine as soon as you can, as it will be the armor you use until you get AF. I would structure your equip like this.

Weapon: Highest damage lance you can find
Head: If you can find a Walkure mask for cheap, then get it. If not, just get a normal DEF mask.
Body: Get Brigadine as soon as possible.
Hands: Battle Gloves (I used these until AF)
Legs: At 42 I believe you get access to the Steel set. I used RSE myself, because the stats were the best. If your RSE pants give +HP, +STR or +DEX...then by all means use them. Otherwise get something that raises those stats or +Attack
Feet: Go with what is best stats wise. I just went with normal footwear, seeing as nothing really good comes our way. Go RSE if you want
Neck: Spike Necklace (+3 STR/DEX [Yes please]
Earrings: You won't get any +STR earrings until 70+, sadly. Stick with +Attack earrings until you can equip Mermans and Assault Earring. They are in the 60's, have +5 attack plus other bonuses.
Rings: Go with +STR. You don't need Accuracy all that much, but you DO need STR. Most +STR rings are pretty cheap, and usually on AH all the time.
              Waist: Life Belt
Back: Once you hit 60+, Go with Amemit for the +STR and +10 Attack. Until then, just get the highest DEF back you have.

Food: Eh. If you DO find that you wiff alot with this setup, then use Sole Sushi. It gives +5 STR, plus alot of +Accuracy. I don't think you'll have any problem whatsoever in the hitting category myself, so use a food that gives +STR and +Attack. Use kabobs, or some other attack raising food.

This is the setup I basically used, though I had alot less money then you did when I was 40+...and I was forced to focus on +acc and +DEX seeing as I'm an Elvaan. Things should go alot better for you.

Just remember this. If you're not getting parties, then make your own with some friends or people that are seeking. Don't give up like most people do at around level 60.

                thanks for all the advice.
i just picked up 2 +3str rings, and a pair of battle gloves for now.

dont worry about that, i plan on taking drg to 75 since drg is pretty much the main reason i started playing the game.

Re: what should i buy next?

What the others said is good, though there's some things I'd like to point out. On Asura, Snipers are actually around 1.2 mil now I think. They may have raised again w/out my knowledge. Assault Earring was 1.5 last I saw, so that's at the bottom of the list IMO. And about the Mithra thing... yea those level 54 STR+4 rings are at least 2 mil each. Once you get to that point, I think dual Snipers and a beefy Gigas type Gauntlet would do you just as good. Comparison is +3 acc*, +8 STR for around 4 mil or +10 acc, +7 Str, -4 dex for about 3 mil. You can take that dex penalty just fine. Venerer is fine -- especially paired with a sniper.

                  * This would be +3 dex and the wyvern acc up with AF instead... that might really tip the scales.

Also worthy of note, I'm a big fan of attack food. I've had the odd honor of partying with a few dragoons who've had their sushi wear off and not have any more food on them so they buy my attack food and -surprise! - they don't gain tp noticably faster
"And if he left off dreaming about you, where do you suppose you'd be?"
