    Pentathrust mania. With the ability "store TP" at level 20, each hit with a lance will give you 14 TP. If all hits of pentathrust connect, you will get a nice 70 TP back. With the ability "meditation" at level 60, you will have an abundance of TP for your bunghole.

    Using meditation, you can renkei with yourself. When you have 90 TP use meditation, and do pentathrust. You should be able to acquire another 100 TP fast enough; if not, use a jump or two. Follow the pentathrust with a skewer.

    I was wondering if this is better to sub than warrior because of all the ws you could dish out.

    This is based on outdated information. Penta Thrust and other multi-hit WS no longer give full TP for every hit in the WS (this was changed in an update early last year). Instead the first hit gives normal TP, then each additional hit gives 1 TP (so in the above example you'd get 18 TP if all hits connect).

      There's somethign I don't understand. I've generally accepted that I'll have 24 TP after I Penta Thrust because that's what my TP has been aftwards so many times. I've tried to figure out how many hits have landed by how much TP I had afterwards, and 5 hits would be 16 TP. For some reason I've seen it range from 14 to 24, and I thought maybe I was getting a normal hit in as well, but at 24 TP that would mean I recieved 12 TP back from Penta, which means only 1 hit landed, which wouldn't explain the 300+ damage I would sometimes do with it.

      It's perplexing. Maybe I gout a Double Attack off somewhere in it? Would that count as a completely different hit?

        Even if you double attack, it'll only add 1TP. If you're getting 24TP, then that means you only landed 1 of the 5 hits and soon after that, you made a regular hit.

          Like I said, landing one hid wouldn't yield the 200-300 damage that it usually does.

            I'm 80% sure that you get full tp return if double attack kicks in during WS. But even then, that basically amounts to a 2-3 hit penta which shouldn't be that much damage... or should it?

              No, even if you get double attack in on a WS....it doesn't give you a full hits worth of TP.

              I could do Penta Thrust, and get one extra hit in and get back 16% TP. Get 2 extras in, get 17% TP back. I've never gotten more then 19% back (4 out of 5 hits on my Penta doubled), post-TP nerf.

              Also, a word edgewise. Spears and polearms give varying TP based on the delay. Spears with 392 Delay will only give 10% TP a hit, while Polearms with 490+ will give 12% TP a hit. The only way you'll get 14% TP a hit is if you have a Polearm with delay above 550, and I don't believe one exists in game. The Barone set has two pieces which allow 14% TP a Jump instead of 12%, but thats for Jump.


              Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

                Are you doing what I see a lot of DRGs do: Penta Thrust and immediately use High Jump to shed enmity? That would account for your additional TP. 24 TP is way out of the normal range.
