Re: Noob drg falling in love

At the lower levels, DRG is hella fun. Having your buddy flying around with as you take on mobs. The only job easier to get to Lv.10 was DRK with the upgraded Death bringer. I was actually pulling of Chain #4s.

Yeah, DRG is alot of fun at low levels. You can easily chaiin EM-T's solo.

I still miss my little Nanaja. I will go back to DRG one day.

Well, just a little tip...as a fellow DRG. Don't let what others say get you down. You'll see what I mean soon enough. But I'm glad that you like the job. Its fun, even at higher levels.

As a fellow Dragoon brother (or sister) I give my props out to anyone who ignores all the message boards and takes on this class. Ever since I got this advanced job, I've never had more fun partying than as a Dragoon. Equipment is inexpensive for a LONG time (i'm only 38, but i've never had problems with gil when it comes to getting the best gear you can). Dragoon's are great DD's and just lots of fun to play. Keep the levels coming and represent!

Yeah, the DRG I think have the best AF, only rivaled by the WHM AF and DRK AF. As per looks anyhow.

Luthis, maybe it's because we're on different servers or something. But I never thouht of DRG equipment cheap to gil. I always have a bad way of running outta money getting what equipment I could. But maybe it was just my trying to run 2 jobs at a time (WHM and DRG).

As I said before, the reason I DID get FFXI was simply for the DRG class.

Hmmm. Like others have said don't let the other message boards and ignorant players give you a bad impression of the Dragoon job. It does have it's issues, but those idiots don't know a single one of them. Level it yourself, find the problems yourself, and overcome them yourself. You'll be a better DD for it no matter what job you play.

Re: Noob drg falling in love

I just recently went and leveled DRG. (It was the only job that didn't require me to buy new armor for. lol) I leveled from Lv.17 to Lv.23 and was enjoying the damage and the unintentional tanking I was doing. Then just thought how sad it is that DRGs popularity trails off at Lv.50 just as DRG would get Double Attack from WAR sub and to really boost up their damage.

It just comes down to fun. I spend a lot of time leveling sub jobs of sub jobs, and then I get those days where I just wanna have some fun. Those days, I go level DRG.

                      Not a Drg yet...

started the game a (while) ago.But before I got the game I got the book from E.B

Looking thru it i saw all the jobs, when i got to the dragoon page i knew, before i even

got the game, that was gonna be the job for me..so i've been lveling two weapons

the entire game pole, greatsword, i know....greatsword? possibly a dark knight sub?

someone help me on this...every time i see a drg i stop and chat...had a couple in a party.

and i just knew, i have to be one...don't care if they don't get much invites.

(I call for them every time i pty).i just have to be one..5 levels to go...can't wait...

Re: Noob drg falling in love

Dadelon, while anywhere else a great sword is possibly the greatest weapon any dragoon could ever use. They screwed up the DRG job for it's favored-weapon choice in FFXI, which should of been the great sword from the beginning-and instead, chose the polearm. So, leveling the great sword skill up is useless for DRG. And, no, you cannot equip a weapon if your sub is the required job(s), only when your job is.

Yeah I guess I'll drop the greatsword,It's a shame though.

Even though a polearm does look good.A greatsword would
complete the look,I wonder if there is anyway if s.e. could be contacted
about this..if enough dragoons petition, would they listen?
I mean they (dragoons),don't have much in heavy weapons choice..
Drgns supposed to be a DD right? why not add a grtswd to the list.
I have about 60% of drgns on asura names fi we can spread the word,
mabye s.e. might listen..I'll start a poll on asura drgns...

Dragoons don't want great swords. We love our polearms, and our JSE lances.
