  • Barone Set Recipe

This is to you Dragoons and/or Crafters that want to know how to make the latest armor related to this job. As you all know, S-E released new recipes in the patch yesterday. I posted the Sha'ir recipe on my Screenshot Forum found on FFXIOnline (which some of you are familiar with). Thinking that others would find this useful, I posted the recipe on different forums of Allakhazam & FFXIOnline. It seems the response was good and I got requests for the Barone set. So here it is.

Again, it is possible that these recipes could be wrong. As with anything found on the Internet, you have to take it with a grain of salt until it is actually proven. Based on various popular & credible Japanese websites related to FFXI, it seems this recipe is 99.9% accurate as they all seem to post the same thing. So.. here it is... the Barone set. Those of you interested in the Sha'ir set (Bard Armor), go here: Sha'ir Set

Note: I know for a fact that The Barone Gambieras is accurate. One of the high level JP Goldsmithers on my server crafted this for fun yesterday.

It has come to my attention that Somepage also has these recipes. I apologize for the "double information". I do not go to Somepage, so I didn't know they were there. I regularly visit a Japanese Recipe Database as well as a few other Japanese FFXI dedicated websites. My apologies for redundant information. I assume that Somepage posted them around the same time I did because there was no mention of it before on any forum? Oh well, sorries again.

        Thanks for the info

Just so you guys know, you should try gettin the materials and have people craft it for you. The pants for example have sold twice for 1mil and once for 400k, where as the materials for it run about 120k or so.

After having used the pants, it seems like "TP jump bonus" gives +2 tp when you use jump or highjump, and the sheet used to make the body piece (mol something) has still never apeared on AH :/

these items will go down in cost once crafters find out how to make them.
Most memorable WoW vent convos on Burning Legion:

          "Dude...I just wrote a sonnet, about taking a dump." - Kronos (2006)

"Guys, I just set my oven on fire by trying to cook ramen in it, and broke the fire alarm with a frying pan. I think I'm in trouble." - Brawny (2006)

"But Hisdon, why wouldn't you want The Unblockable Shield - wait a minute..." - Sasukekun (2005)

Bought the legs on Fairy. They do indeed give +2 TP for both Jump and High Jump. Cost me 303k worth of materials, had a friend synth them. They're selling on the AH for 400k gil.

Every piece but the body is up. Tried buying the feet, but can't get them. Tried all the way up to 500k then gave up because, well, as much as I want them it'll be difficult to spend that much on them. Material cost puts the price at 1 million+, so I probably won't be getting them for a long, long time.

You can also buy them off an NPC in tavinian safehold once you reach chapter 3 of COP.
