One does begin to wonder, if this combo is so great, why no parsers?

Yes, I have been slacking on this parser thing. I can get a exp party just fine, but asking them to let me use Drg/Drk for a few fights usually results in a no. I don't have enough people to just form a exp kinda party to fight exp mobs to test this combo out.
If and when that does happen though, i'll have the parser info."The Dark Dragoon"

I am going to do this too....but I am going to do it with about 4 diffrent subs,
WHM DRK WAR THF
and I will compare their BASE damage with out buff or abilities
before I do this my WHM and DRK need to get to 37 first......so this mught take a bit. DRK is at 32 and WHM is at 20, but I am working on BLM right now and it is only 5-------------------------------------------------------------------------

In all honesty the people who dont like dragoons dont want you to post any sort of evidence so they can continue playing the card
"What evidence do you have that makes dragoon so good? they sux0r"
So I dont know why you should cave in and listen to them... All dragoons out there are curious about how the different sub jobs compare to each other and I for one am one of those people.
Just a little encouragement to Crisis and Kailea-D,
Good luck in your tests.____________

I wasn't joking. I don't have high level DRG, but I can compare a few subs at level 35. I mean, as far as openmindedness goes, I like farming with /BRD. If it's really low-level monsters, sure, I'll use /THF for TH, but if I take easy prey I go /BRD. With /THF drop rate may be higher, but I have to rest every few fights. With /BRD, only a surprisingly strong monster causes any sort of downtime, so I kill faster and get drops faster. In fact, I compared the stats, and /BRD is surprisingly comparable at that level.
Then again, I'm just rambling now. Who cares about the gimp subs. The majority is always right anyway. . .4 out of 3 people have a problem with fractions. . .

Re: The Dark Dragoon: Tactics of a Drg/Drk
Drg/War will do more simple damage, but Drg/Drk can stack LR and SE with jumps and WS for maximum output, and incase it hasn't been stated yet, SE has a very powerful Accuracy bonus, look up the Drk threads for confirmation.
One of the underscored truths about the Wyvern breath in this combination is that the elemental accuracy of the wyverns attack breath is weaker, Wyverns will more often score with the right elemental breath in a Drg/War combination over a Drg/Drk. Hybrid wyvern subs have only part of the effectiveness of attack and cure breaths.
A Drg/Drk can hit up a massive spike of damage, and provide the supportive ablility to cut nearly free cures when your party is exhausted on MP and the battle gets rough. Overall in emergencies, you will have a hard time getting your cures in before teammates die, even with the AF helm, but you will be doing alot more for the party then a Drg/War who pretends to tank for 3 seconds, and then SuperJumps to hide from the agro.
Drg/Drk has much more application then it is given credit for, for the Damage that it lacks over time from Berserk and Double attack, Drg/Drk compensates fully in cheap specialty heals. This is a good place for a Hume or Taru Drg to accel.
I haven't seen parse data for SE acc buff on a sub class, so I don't know if it is a full TWENTY points accuracy increase, but I presume that you at least get half of it. Stacking LR+SE followed by High Jump, Jump, WS and Super Jump will do enough damage to make a Drk say "you stole my thunder!" wile simply droping the massive hate spike that would kill any Drk. The tactical functionallity of a Drg/Drk is a great asset, and in the hands of an advanced player, it can provide more to a party then a Drg/War.
As a side note, Drg/Drk has very powerful soloing applications after lvl 60, that alone breaks the difference between Drg/War and Drg/Drk for effectiveness.
Overall, I wouldn't trade your warrior sub for Drk simply because of the difficulty getting parties, if you want to try Drk sub, you better scale your Warrior as well. But at higher lvls you may meet parties who are advanced enough to partake in Cure Breath heals, or just friendly enough to let you play as what you want. But I perfer the Drg/Drk for soloing, it is even better with Drg twin parties.Learning > Intelligence > Experience. Weak minds are subject to experience before realization. Inteligent minds understand quickly with minimal experience. Learned minds excersise knowledge gained from study, and do not require experience to reach realization. Which is your claim?
