      Ignorance is bliss I guess.

So you only wanna hear good things about DRGs? Well, if you get high enough, you'll probably be the only one on Dynamis runs!

That some people can be sooo slow to the obvious scares me. These people have to live in the real world too, I just hope they have important jobs that won't speed up the downfall of socitiy, you know like a factory worker...

the negative info you are hearing from players come from first hand experience. Although I have met tonnes of people who have never played a drg or played with a drg talk smack about it.

Like me, because I party with DRGs, and the best friend I have ingame is a dragoon, he always tells me how much crap the job is. He plays the job because he has always liked it. Only thing I say, is if you don't have some nice equipment, a gimpy DRK will easily match and some times pass you (this is from experience, my friend has the best equip possible, mine is no where close to matching it, yet I still outdamage him over the course of a battle and XP session, if I didn't miss every other swing...just think of it). If a DRG/WAR with a maxed sub with suburb equip is being outdamaged by a DRK/WAR with an underleveled sub (I hate WAR subjob, lol) with less than great equipment, why get a DRG unless there is no one else LFG?

I never rally saw anything wrong with the Drg except that there WP Renkei waz a little on the shitty side, but I alwayz thought that they could deal damage as well as a Warrior.

Well I quit my DRG at level 52.. couldn't even be bothered to get my Drachen Brais AF.. T_T

I still wish I could play DRG and take it to Lv75 but this is not a question of "if you like DRG or not" this is a question of "what's the point?".
I could take DRG to 75 but then what? Just live being a gimped dragon controlling idiot?

I took the other option, change jobs into something USEFUL, that WILL be NEEDED by other peope... Paladin.

You can not understand until you have experienced it.
And even at 52 things weren't too bad but better to change sooner.

Two final things that I witnessed that made me give up DRG:

I was in a party in Crawler's Nest and we were fighting beetles and crawlers (Lv50-52 party).
I was skillchaining with the DRK (Double Thrust > Slice, I think) and my Double Thrust was hitting for around 200 damage average... the DRK was hitting for 500+ average...
He was the main tank as the PLD could absolutely NOT hold any hate. And yes, the PLD would voke, flash, shield bash and cure but still couldn't take hate off.
The DRK ended up removing half of his equipment to gimp himself so the PLD could hold the hate... and guess what... he was STILL hitting harder than me!

Then after that I went to help a Lv40 Taru PLD with his AF1 (fighting Polvik in Ordelle's Caves) with the help of my LS friend Lv64 PLD.
We killed stuff until we each had 300% TP and then the taru spawned the NM.
I Jump on it then engage and do Penta Thrust. I check my TP to see 16%.. wohoo... all 5 hits landed! I then check the NM's HP bar and it has gone right down to 1/5th.. I was like.. holy crap.. I am uber.
But... then I check the logs and see that my Penta did 65 damage, and at the exact same time my LS PLD friend did Spirits Within that did 550+ damage.. so that explained the HP bar going down.
BUT THEN... the Taru Lv40 PLD (that's 12 levels lower than me) uses Red Lotus Blae and hits it for 51 damage.. WTF!?
That is almost as much as my all 5 hitting Penta.

                Quit.

I think we should have a bar where all the DRGs and the wyverns get together and talk about the good old days when we got a new ability or a new WS and how exciting it was during that time when we found out we were pretty effective against mobs and now we.... well i hate to say 'suck' really....

How about a new holiday called "Dragoon-appreciation day" ?
