Drg/Nin ? Is this combination good?

I havent leveled Nin yet so im kinda curious since this job has a lot of interesting abilities. Any tried it out already?

im some what of a noob at the game but as far as i know you need 2 hands for a polearm, so the duel weild ability would kind of be wasted on a DRG, and thats one of the main reasons to have a ninja sub. sure i guess technically, you dont need to use a polearm as a dragoon... technically.

Im hoping someone who has tried this combination may have use for dual weild since we can use 1h swords for weapon skills like Spirits Within against mobs we're weak against.

Spirits within is a 'bad' WS. At 300% TP, you do roughly half your current hp in damage, and it doesn't chain with anything, so no skillchain.

I didnt see the point of DRG/NIN, the only thing that you could really wield was a 1h sword which has a horrible rating as a DRG. You get less atk, less acc, WS come later, etc... You wouldnt need Blink for anything since you shouldnt, and couldnt really tank, plus you lose the Berserk, Sneak Attack, Trick Attack, skills depending on SJ. Spirits Within is a high lvl WS which would make the idea useless, plus DRG are known for Penta Thrust not some crappy Sword skill.

DRG/NIN is good for Dynamis raids, and maybe HNMs, but for the later probably /WAR with sword would be better. for regular XP PTs its an awful option.

I can imagine it is a good idea for soloing, having dual wield doesnt necessarily mean you cant use a 2 hand weapon, right?
Does wyverns healing breath activate when doing a ninjutsu at low hp? That would be a nice little bonus.

But I dont recommend it in party.

Only benefit it has to soloing would be Utsusemi, which costs money. Soloing is about making money too. I'd rather sub WHM and heal at 50% hp or just sub THF in hopes of better drops.

Say it with me : the only time a DRG would sub NIN is on a HNM where having blink is useful. Even then, there are more useful subs to improve damage output/provide greater utility.
