Archer Ring NM Question

and i would say aroun LVL 37-38 you can solo them easily. But without THF sub GL with drops

I'm a DRK who's getting ready to take Stroper, but all the advice I've received tells me to wait until level 45 or so to Solo this NM (mostly because of the excruciatingly high physical-def). Is it really a viable option to try taking Stroper Chyme at 37-38 solo? I'd really like to know since I'm 38 at the moment and would appreciate being able to go after this monster as soon as possible...

I think I'm cursed; I have never gotten a rare drop from a NM.

I fought it on a 46THF/RNG and died. His high melee def sucks. I would hit him for 11-20 and he'd hit me for 20-30. Even though THFs arent major damage dealers, at 46 i should have evaded most hits but didnt.

Hmmm, don't want this to sound the wrong way, but that's really encouraging news. I say that simply because, when a THF isn't SA/TAing his damage is generally a quarter to a fifth of a DRKs swing damage (although he swings like 2.5 times for every DRK swing) so that means I'll probably be doing at least reasonable damage. Plus 20-30 return damage doesn't seem like a nightmare considering i can throw a Drain on him if I get desperate for hp (maybe even 2 if the fight goes on long enough).

3 of us at 40 in my LS were camping it one day (me, PLD, WHM). I was able to solo it, but I was usually left with not much health. The beetles you kill to get it to spawn are worthless or easy at 40. So, if you have to kill a bunch of thoes beetles, your prolly not going to have much HP to fight the slime with. I'd wait to solo it if I were you.
