Weapons - halberd/lance

I know in the sticky it says that being dragoon only, that lances are the best weapon for a dragoon. However, comparing the Lance at 34 and the Halberd at 36, I don't see how the math supports this. The Halberd has a higher damage/delay ratio and is half the cost of the lance to boot. I can see how a lance would be more useful with double thrust, but 99.9999% of groups so far request I use raiden thrust for their skill chains. I'm rather stingy when it comes to money and I'll always sacrifice looks or marginal benefits for a lower costing item.

My question: is there any advantage to using the lance over the halberd?

edit: Kingdom Halberd also has a better dmg/delay ratio than lance.

You won't notice it. Keep the lance. and if you are in your 30s, why are you still using Raiden renkeis? Should be doing double > viper bite.....

you get 12TP per hit using lances, and only 10TP using spears. Plus lances look way cooler :D

Actually I have to disagree. That first lance looks like a toothpick to me. Cool if you have some dental problems though.

Has anyone info for Colossal Lance and how to obtain it?

DMG: 88 DELAY: 492 HP+25 STR+3 VIT+5 Level 70 DRG

I heard that you can buy this at the AH. It is supposed to be the best Lance for DRG in this game.

Colossal Lance is from the Ocean Sahagin NM. Rare drop, from what I hear (maybe morelikely a rare NM). No, it isn't the best weapon for Dragoons. The best weapon is the Gae Bolg from the NM Vouivre.
