Dragon Killing

For any of you veteran dragoons out there, have any of you faught dragons and seen a differance in damage done to them because of you job? I know they have the dragon killer ability, but does that really make that big of differance? I am planning on being a Dragoon but just need to tie up all remaining worries. Thanks

It's hard to notice much of a difference because most dragons are bosses or NMs, but I trust that there is a difference. I pop in from time to time to help out with M6 dragon or Dragoon quest dragon, and I suppose I'm always a welcome face, so I trust I'm helping out <^^>
