A buddy 75drk/sam from another server told me to pour what I could into Acc and start carrying gear swaps for WS multipliers. He also mentioned watching the hits to 100% TP when it came to weapon and dly reductions. "If you keep hitting 98%, take off the dly reduction grip to gain more TP per hit. Its inefficient to have to wait for an extra hit for your WS."

Otherwise, he said as a DD, if I'm not hitting, I'm not doing my job. ^.^`

Your buddy is right except for the part where you should start carrying gear swaps for WS multipliers. Stat mods are rubbish unless you're a SAM. THF's SA/TA aside, every melee wants Acc, Attack, and STR backing their WS.

Dark Magic is purely affected by skill then?

I don't know about Drain/Aspir in this regard (they do get resisted, so I would have thought INT mattered there, but I don't have actual evidence in that regard since resists on Drain/Aspir are a little harder to keep track of). Absorbs, OTOH, do get resisted quite a bit if you don't keep your INT up as your level gets higher. At least, that's been my experience in trioing, and I've heard a lot of people give up on Absorbs at higher levels due to resist rates.
