Re: DRK Solo BCNM?
I can't think of any BCNMs off hand that I've heard of drk soloing, though I havn't heard of drks soloing most anything. Not to say it couldn't be done, but I wouldn't want to risk seals attempting to find a soloable one.
Most BCNMs I see solo can't be done by your 'average' player either. Most times when you see BLMs or RDMs solo vids of BCNMs you'll see most of them have a white box on every armor slot, plenty of meds, or some rare or hard to obtain item. Not to say it's all required, but to solo things like that you need a lot of patience and skill, and people that have those qualities most likely take the time to obtain better gear to make it easier.

Re: DRK Solo BCNM?
Strong solo jobs are the ones that can do BCNMs solo. That is, BST, SMN, BLM, and RDM. BLU is strong enough on its own to perhaps pull one or two off as well, though that remains to be seen.
DRK is one of the worst solo jobs as the job trades off too much defensive power in exchange for offensive power, and as such I cannot imagine it doing well in any solo environment, let along the pressure cooker of a BCNM.

Re: DRK Solo BCNM?
Talking about soloing a BC. We fought Tenzen(PM7-5) the other day for a friend of mine. A linkshell member along, a greatly equipped Drk75 with Kraken Club. After a few Bard and White Mage buffs and using 2-hour ability, he fought Tenzen down to 40% HP by himself.
As Dark Knight you can be very strong if you try to be. At that level of efficiency it's not very difficult to imagine a Drk to solo certain BC's.
Another friend of mine, a rather average but wisely equipped Dark Knight, is also very well able to solo a lot of monsters himself, by making good use of his spells such as Drain II.http://www.ffxiah.com/player.php?id=953347

Re: DRK Solo BCNM?
Kitty who is this Kclub DRK you speak of? And why haven't I been introduced? XD We've been trying to get our Dynamis shell holder a Kclub for a long time. And by we, I mean other people because I'm saving my seals, but meh.
And I had forgotten Treasures and Tribulations. DRKs just aren't needed in many BCNMs. I had this issue with my ex, he was always wanting to do BCNM but he didn't have a job that was useful.sigpic

And you're complaining about a three-month necro with an eight-month necro?Ellipses on Fenrir
There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.
