yeah drk def seems like the sickest job in the game atm followed by rdm and sum, but my question is can drk use any other sub other than war and get a pt fast and should u use a scithe (cant spell) or a great sword

Also, DRK is a hard road when it comes to invites. Just FYI.

Drk subs are mostly War and Thf. Nin is situational and Rdm/Whm are rarely used except maybe for soloing. Invites come slow, but you'll get used to it. You should use Scythe and great sword, and if you have time, try to cap great axe too, but cap scythe and great sword first.

You mainly want to lv Greatsword and Scythe. Although a lot of DRKs use great axe till lv 10-20 for sturmwind. somewhere in that area.

But once you hit past 25-28 you want to start keeping GS and scythe leveled

Just a quick note: Dark's don't get Sturmwind till lvl 24. Early on Great Axe is useful for Shield Break which gives the mob a big Evasion penalty (Great Axes also hit like a truck but then so do Scythes).

Thank you for the clarification, could not remember what lv Strumwind was. Yeah GA hits hard but scythe is the way to go. after that.

Keep Great Sword leveled for sure, Spinning Slash at 66 with THF sub is very useful.
