DRK/THF post-60

How many of you would actually invite a DRK/THF post-60? Everyone is saying that it's best to go that way because of all the stats you receive, problem is I don't even really like warrior. My sub for THF was /MNK. So just for knowledge to see if I really will have to level warrior, how many of you would not take a DRK/THF <60

i would, but usually warrior is better cause of the attack bonuses. drk sub thf because of SATA at 60, so they dont die horribly from souleater+guillotine :x

At Lv.60, sub'n THF is just fine. However you could very well sub WAR up to Lv.65. But once you hit Lv.65 for Cross Reaper, you're going to really want THF sub so you don't get killed. Last thing you want is to land 85~110dmg a swing, then drop 700~1k dmg all to your credit. So THF sub will help keep you alive.

Lv.50~60 though, you'll really want WAR sub. Some can argue that you'd want it from Lv.30 to Lv.60 for Berserk alone, but at Lv.50 that Double Attack helps a lot for building TP.

However, I've also partied with DRK/THFs in the 50's, but they are not the norm. But to now answer your original question, as RDM72, my favorite party setup is NIN, DRK/THF, WAR/NIN. Primarily for the skillchain, and the 2 heavy hitters.

I don't really understand what your trying to say here. DRK/THF post-65 gets more invite than DRK/THF 10-64, I can assure you that much. SATA does little between 60-64, but Sickle Moon is still ok (Guillotine won't work on SA, since only the first hit is a critical, but if you miss a lot on Guillotine, I guess having one hit land is better than none ;x )

Anyway, I found DRK/THF to be inferior to DRK/WAR at 60. I had both THF and WAR subjobs leveled up at that point, so I could make the comparison. After 65, however, SATA really shines with Cross Reaper, but at 66, the fun begins with Spinning Slash IMHO.

Tdh, no DRK lands over 800+ at level 60 in damage against IT+ mobs. If with guillotine, they're lucky that all 4 hits were critical strikes and landed with 100% accuracy. Of course, if you mean with Souleater ... but I think you're nuts to do this with Guillotine unless you can SATA that off...
